- In first year it was mandatory to join a three sharing or four sharing room as single rooms were not provided.
Course Curriculum Overview
Cyber Security Systems is perhaps way tougher than CSE because the kind of networking and coding we have to do, no one else has to. Thus, it's onus thing on us to grab it and finish the course because it is lengthy and we have lesser subjects but all of them are tougher than the rest. Our course is already improved and better than any.
Placement Experience
Around 47 students in our course and in 2025 36 of them were placed and rest I don't think even applied as jobs were definitely available. Infosys, Polaris and others who are now world famous for building cyber security systems were at MIT Manipal to hire students.
Fees and Financial Aid
MIT Manipal is a private university part and therefore MIT University which is India's topmost university charges premium from the students and thus we have to pay nearly 4 lakhs a year to get going. Also, since 95% or more students are outsiders hostels too becomes the only choice and for that the fees is 2 lakhs a year.
Campus Life
MIT Manipal is a part of Mahe Manipal and our department is little far from others as ours is a new campus within the MAHE campus. It's huge and has amazing infrastructure. Our area is like South Mumbai of the campus as tall buildings and everything tip-toed and wreathed in latest colours. Revels is alour annual fest which has not just seen celebrities but top politicians too coming for opening ceremony.
Hostel Facilities
In the first two year I stayed in a three seater room and finally this year, I am in a 2 seater room. It's bigger than the three seater room and there are in all 5 boys hostels because students strength is that high. Yes, one can find PG accomodation close to the campus but hostel life is much better.
Admission
I applied at Symbiosis Institute of Technology as their AI& ML program is renowned but since my dad is a banker and he knows how important it is to build cyber security system, I took this course. I gave the university entrance examination and luckily our course doesn't commands high scores, I got this course as I wanted this only.
Faculty
MIT Manipal the reason is one of the biggest brand is because it is run by faculties which are tough on us but at the same time teaches so well that classrooms sessions never feel boring. If intersting has a meaning then it is definitely the teaching of MIT Manipal faculties as no one can reach the way they teaches.
Night Life
Our campus is a city so forget about outing because it offers night life as good as Goa. Yes we don't have beaches inside the campus but restaurant with shacks are opened till 1 am. Nescafe Outlet also operates till late night, and sports facilities again opened for as long as students want to play.
