Course Curriculum Overview

4

Some course curriculums are relevant but some are not. For 1st year students we cant really choose any course we are alloted some fix courses and from 2nd year we can choose some specific courses on our own except for our fix courses which are given on the basis of our department. Well the curriculum has some non graded courses about which I mentioned earlier which really help a lot in building one's personality and confidence. Apart from this the college provides us with various opportunities to improve our skills by allowing us to improve our confidence and leadership qualities. As I mentioned earlier that there are two exams per semester which are actually decently difficult.

Internships Opportunities

3

Many different companies come during placement time in the campus for physical interviews but some also conduct online interviews, companies provide internship to 3rd year student during vacation time. Although students can apply for internships outside of campus according to their will. Various projects are done by students to include them in their resumes which helps them to getter better placements

Fees and Financial Aid

My Semester Fees being a ST category student in IIT Delhi is nearly around 22,400 /- including one-tike payment for whole course, Refundable caution deposit and other charges. I have No Tution fees as being a ST category student. And the Hostel & mess fees are seperate which are exactly same for every student inclusive of their Category. Which is 35,930 for one sem. The Prices may increase with each sem and I don't know by how much as this is my 1st semester.

Campus Life

5

The college conducts various fest each year like Rendezvous, Kaizen, Tryst etc. which are held in October, April, March respectively. These fests are conducted and managed by the students of the college itself. Thus, participating in managing of these fest provides a good experience. The college library has a wide range of books available as it is one of the biggest library in Delhi. Each classroom is air conditioned and has a wide range of tech facilities like projectors, power outlet under every row of seats, large classroom etc. The college a paid sports complex named Mittal sports complex apart from that the hostels have their own small badminton, basketball, table tennis and other indoor sports facilities. Students run their own-socisl groups and manage all the cluns and societies in the college.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel provides us with beds and chairs with cupboard to store our clothes and other items. Each floor has two washing machines and 6 washrooms and bathrooms for about 40 students. Mess food has a wide range of variety but os tasteless atleast in my hostel whereas other hostels have good mess food but only a few. The menu of mess is changed every month with some minutes changes according to the season. Hostel is quite affordable if we compare it to the area in which we live in. Hostel is allotted randomly and is purely based on kuch if we get a newer hostel or older hostel.

Admission

I gave the JEE Advanced exam in 2024 for which I had to qualify in the the JEE Mains exam 2024. And according to the rank which I got in the JEE Advanced exam, I got this college. I applied for every IIT except the new ones and really wanted to pursue Computer Science Engineering but as my rank was not satisfactory enough I got alloted IIT Delhi Electrical Engineering Undergrad though above this I had a preference for IIT Bombay.

Faculty

4

The college has a vast team of faculty for each department especially the core departments. For every department there are courses designed on the basis of levels which a student must complete to get to the next course but not in every course some courses are individual courses in itself.

Night Life

5

The Nightlife in is the most fun part of the day after some really hectic class schedule. Where we enjoy as well as study at our hostel rooms with friends and seniors. The college has various cafes and night canteens which are open till early morning throughout the night. There's no fix schedule of the classes so at some days we have to wake up early and some days we wake up late at around 10 in the morning.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from 6th semester onwards. The average package is around 20 LPA and the highest package is 85 LPA. The placements percentage for top branches is around 80% and many big companies like Amazon, Uber, Google, Microsoft, etc. offer placements. After my degree I plan on securing a placement on the tech field.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course curriculum as **fairly comprehensive and reasonably relevant**, especially in terms of building a strong foundation in core engineering concepts. One of the factors that influenced my decision to choose this course was the **structured curriculum covering important fundamentals such as programming, data structures, mathematics, and core engineering subjects**, which are essential for both technical roles and higher studies. The curriculum provides a solid theoretical base and helps develop analytical thinking, but for real-world applications students often need to complement it with **projects, internships, coding practice, and self-learning**, since some topics are still taught in a more traditional or theoretical way. In terms of improvements, the curriculum could benefit from **more industry-oriented electives, practical assignments, updated lab work, and interactive teaching methods such as case studies or project-based learning**. The exam system typically includes **two major exams per semester — a mid-semester exam and an end-semester exam — along with internal assessments, quizzes, and assignments**. The exams are generally **moderate in difficulty**, and students who attend classes and prepare consistently are able to perform well, though the evaluation tends to focus more on conceptual understanding and written exams rather than purely practical skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really liked physics and applications of physics so chose mechanical engineering, as ut has a lot of application of physics directly can really see how things work not just ideally but actually Curriculum is really good besides getting assignments which noone takes seriously everyone just copies , there must be much more practical stuff so that everyone learns but we do get that in tech teams but not directly as a student in college. There must be practical teachings and proper guidance proper high level machineary must be there, industry visits must be there and internships in such companies must be encouraged There are 5 exams of 1.5 hour considered as mid sems and 6 exams of 3 hours considered as endsems

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The frequency of the exams is 2 times a year once in the month of December and once in the month of May. Internal exams (tests) are conducted in between to continuously evaluate you during the course. According to me, the exam should be conducted before itself, so that we can get more time for internship opportunities.
