Remarks

City College of Commerce and Business Administration is one of the nine educational institutions under the Brahmo Samaj. So it is more special to me. And the professor are so educated they teach student very good manners.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Courses offered are fully affordable. Exam are taken 2 time in a semester one is middle of the semester and one before the final exam. The student must have to clear all the exam for getting the admit card of the final exam.

Placement Experience

5

The college hosts corporate houses on a regular basis, which conduct recruitment drives in the college to select deserving students for recruitment after they pass out of the college. The process has been afoot over the last five years and the outcome has been impressive. Among other institutes IBM and TCS have been at the forefront in the selection and recruitment process. Since the entire procedure entails a sequence of arduous processes, the students selected deserve accolade for what they have achieved.

College Events

3

The cultural activities of the college include all the major cultural events and programmes organised by the college around the year. The Students’ Council plays a major role in the process. These programmes are organised both inside and outside the college premises: Freshers’ Welcome Annual Social Fest Teachers’ Day Celebration of landmark events including Rabindra Jayanti and Martyrs’ Day According farewell to the outgoing students Distribution of books and prizes among promising students as well as those who are financially insolvent. The college has a music band called ''''College Soul'''' consisting of student participants, which apart from participating in college events, participates in fests in other colleges and institutions as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible. The usual Fee Structure of the college is as follows: i) Rs. 85/- per month for students taking up Honours ii) Rs. 65/- for candidates taking up General Course Course Fees at the time of Admission: i) 4,410/-(Hons.) ii) 4,170/- (Gen.) [SOME CHANGES ARE LIKELY IN THE CURRENT ACADEMIC YEAR WHICH WILL BE ANNOUNCED SHORTLY]

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not taken any loan facility and i haven't got any scholarship so that i have no knowledge about it.But as per my knowledge the top 3 students are awarded by prize who have scored highest marks in the college.

Campus Life

4.5

The sporting activities of the college consist in both outdoor and indoor events. The Annual Sports Meet of the college at the Calcutta University playground in winter Inter-college tournaments Indoor sporting activities: indoor tournaments in cricket, football, table tennis, badminton and chess Regular participation of students in state-level and university tournaments The sporting events of the college are organised in a way they do not disrupt the academic calendar. They are hosted with good care.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumin network is created sooner so there are not much student connected. The network will be strong sooner as the senior student registet their selves. But the union of the college are helpful for the student.

Admission

After the result of the 12th class.I fill up the admission form the website of the college and wait for the merit list. The 1st cut off of my college was 71% so tgere was my name in the list.and i get a date for document verification and my admission was teken on that day by submitting the fee of admission in the bank.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is average , I chose this course because I wanted to do an honours degree and I'm from commerce background so my first pick was B.Com . They really put efforts to prepare students for well future , as I said earlier some teachers are genuinely very good helpful supporting and good at what they do . Something they need to approve is the 70% attendance criteria, I think they need to understand not every student is just persuing graduation they are doing some other courses or jobs etc so they can't maintain 70% attendance . The frequency of timing is average

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum is Comprehensive, focused equally on Academics and Practical Exposure.. I chose because of that extra year of research I can choose to do in my final year (4th year) of graduation and I'll have an Hons. Degree at the end of 4th year of my college... Practical insights makes sure we are being trained to tackle practical world and academic knowledge ensures we are eligible to apply for further Education.. I will say more focus on Practical Exposure and a little extra focus on Sports May Take This Curriculum to a different level..
