Course Curriculum Overview

4

Our course curriculum has changed a lot due to NEP and we are the first batch experiencing this change. I have interest on economics and management. This influenced me to choose this course. Anyone who want to continue journey in economics this curriculum provides founding stones for that. Other subjects besides core also help students to find different things to do like digital marketing, basics of financial markets etc. Our exams are held on an average every 4-5 months.

Placement Experience

4

As our college is an average college so the placements are decent not that good. After 4 semesters (that is when one enters his/her 3rd year) they are eligible for campus placements For the session 2023-24 companies like accenture, Deloitte, pwc etc visited and 600+ offers were made. Highest Package - 23.05LPA Average Package - 5LPA My plans are not yet clear but i think i will definitely go with doing a job then my masters.

Fees and Financial Aid

My annual fees that I pay for my course i.e. B.A. Hons Business Economics (BBE) is 27660/-. It is the tution fees only as there is no such caution fees, admission fees, development fees or lab fees. Till now it has not increased but it is way too much high already considering other courses of DU. There is also no such difference in the fees for different categories also scholarships are available which is provided by DU from time to time. For that you have to follow certain guidelines and you cam be eligible for that as well.

Campus Life

4

Main 2 festivals happens in our college one is Deepmahotsav, 1 week before Diwali. It continues for 2 days. Another wr have annual fest called Tatva which happens in February and it is a 3-day event In library a lot of books are available and almost all syllabus related stuff can be found there but all are very limited In classroom technological provisions are close to nothing and for sports nothing is there although for extracurricular many societies are there which students can join.

Admission

I actually had only 6-7 colleges to choose upon and I was allotted this college and there was no upgradation so I had to continue here I had applied for GGSIPU for BBA and i got trinity but i wanted to get into DU because the value it holds is way more than any university. The admission process in DU and to most of the universities is thru CUET and what college you will get will be based upon preference list you have filled and the marks you get.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is 1:60 on an average although in class half of the students are present:) But some faculty has a great connection with their students while some didn't make that much connection. But one thing is that they all are approachable for any kind lf problem. There are no as such faculty whom i had strong connection with. For first 4 semesters 7 exams are there (it can be 6 or even 5 considering what VAC and SEC you choose) and in last year you have 6 exams as VAC is excluded (it can also be 5 if sec is chosen whose exan doesn't happen). BBE exams are moderate to difficult although most of the students pass it.

Night Life

4

The area around the college is average. There is a place called authority market where students from CVS amd shaheed bhagat singh students roam around and have chill. There are many stalls and restaurant there for eating. Besides that select city walk mall and anupam is also nearby where most of the students go for hangout. I can't tell about hostels or nightlife as I have not experienced it till date

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

There's a very active placement cell in my college. They conduct placement drives, webinars and workshops. Both the jobs and internships are offered. The best package was of 2024 offering 23 Lpa and the average is around 6 Lpa.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. The exam notes and everything is available at the photocopy shop that's inside the college. Writing this review really made me miss the college more

Placement Experience:

Placements definitely stands out as passive placement cell of the college is too good. They are quite aggressive and keep attacking us with getting ready for placements. As top corporate house like Big 4 and top Indian conglomerate also comes to our college for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Initially i took this course beacuse i filled it as a backup for coming into delhi university but now i can say that the course is very interesting and it is practically applicable in daily life. Tho the theory exams are quite difficult and subjects like advance mme where max students fail exist but then also it is doable and has market value

Placement Experience:

The college has a placement cell which comes up with lots and lots of internship and job offers throughout the year, you get multiple new job opportunities every week but the campus placement is not all that great, B Com courses have somewhat decent placements. the college doesn't push very much or try much to get students placed, you're on your own.

Placement Experience:

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.
