Course Curriculum Overview

In my college curriculum in first year is designed to fulfil the basic knowledge of an engineer like coding, engineering drawing, chemistry, physics, maths, english etc. and some non graded courses .

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 15000 per year

Top domestic and international companies like Microsoft, Samsung, Google, Qualcomm, Goldman Sachs, Flipkart, Intel, HSBBC Holdings, IBM, Walmart, Bajaj Automobiles, Accenture, JP Morgan, Cisco, Deloitte, Caterpillar, Amazon, Adobe, TATA, Morgan Stanley, Accenture, ONGC, etc. visit the IIT campuses to recruit engineering graduates for various job roles.

Fees and Financial Aid

My name is Ramandeep. I am first year student at IIT Delhi. I am in civil engineering. Fee structure(per sem) is as follows For SC /ST =15000 For Others having income 1-5lakh = 100000 For income>5 lakh =150000

Campus Life

Campus life is amazing experience at IIT Delhi. There are all facilities like library, computer labs, hospital, market, transport infrastructure, sports, etc. And also clubs like photography, dance, music, literature etc.

Hostel Facilities

In first year double or triple seater room is alloted and one almirah, one table and one chair is included for each student. Fan and electricity needs are fulfilled in room. Meal in mess is of good quality.

Hostel Fee: INR 8600 per year

Admission

Here for admission one have to qualify the exam called JEE Advanced. It is one of the toughest exam of the country and the world. It tests your eligibility for IITs. I have filled for this IIT and got it.

Faculty

Faculty is very friendly and any time approachable. Anyone can mail them and they reply at their earliest. In my first sem one mid sem and major was there. Course curriculum is very relevent and very negligible no. of students fails.

Night Life

At night, night mess are operative for students , gym, cafe, and all things are accessible. Outside campus one can visit Qutub Minar, Lal Kila for adventures. No hostel timings are there.All gates are closed at night after 11PM except main gate.

Placement Experience:

The placement was not too good it was bad the main reason was like it have not in better place if student want to grab an offer he do offcampus apply so they get job .The companies visted our collage was tcs ,infosys , wipro and sometime Amazon. The highest pacakge was offers in 2020 for almost like 30LPA after that non of them get that much placement .In simple wprd you are the reason of your too get placed in companies . In our collage not fang companies offerd placement.

Placements are good especially during recession. You're eligible for placements after 3rd year. After 2nd Year you're eligible for Internships. All Big Companies like Google Microsoft Apple Goldmansachs Mckinsey etc. Highest package offered till now in 2025 is 85LPA (Atlassian) Average of CSE is 17 -18 lpa . almost 53% people get placed in 2025 (recession time). See The degree OF DTU has its value. So it gives you an edge while you go for off campus.

Placement Experience:

The placement rate here is around 70-75% on an avg in all branches and sometimes even higher. After 1st year only , multiple opportunities starts coming . After 1st year and before 2nd year , basically in summer vacation we have to do a compulsory internship (college also provides) and we are provided a credit for that . Then multiple opportunities like GOOGLE STEP ,amacon internship , etc come.

Placement Experience:

From 6 semester all students are eligible for campus placements there are almost more than 30+ companies come to make offers and don't recall the names but almost 34 lakh per annum is the highest package they offer and some lucky students also get 80 lakh per annum package almost 80 percent students get placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In each sem we have to give exams twice - mid terms and end terms. They are not much difficult the level is moderate. Teaching method is also good bit sometimes they are not able to complete the syllabus

The corses are well designed And related to your curiculum evey course are relevent for student the course they provied in first sem are Math,computational thinking,Intoduction to south asia,ENG,Phy. most of collages have mechanical in their first sem where they have to do weilding ,crafting etc which have no use in course of CS.

IITD is an old IIT and has an entrepreneurial atmosphere making it my first choice.I applied for the some other colleges I am comparing with ahead. Fulfilling experience at IITD.

Bachelors is required with 55% atleast. JAM score is required. Cut off for obc was 33 as far as I remember . The entrance test tests your quantitative and qualitative ability. All the details are given on the website of iit delhi or just typing JAM would do. JAM gives you the opportunity to do your msc economics from iits. Admission to IITD occurs through JEE Advanced; In which an individual had to first clear JEE Mains then ADV. They have to prepare for three subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics; concepts must be clear from the base level. As soon as the application form will be released; news will come in newspapers since it's a national-level exam or you can search on the Official Jee mains website. Application fees for Jee Mains in 2022: 650/- and for Jee ADV: 2800/-(not sure). Application dates will be released on the official website. To avail of reservation benefits you must have a category certificate that had been renewed within 6 months from counseling (FOR OBC-NCL). If from SC-ST, then can use any certificate.
