Course Curriculum Overview

4

My course is mechanical Engineering in this college. I have chosen this for my own purpose as I like ground jobs rather than coding sitting in a office. The curriculum here is well prepared for the 4 year couse completion which is quite good for placements. This course has promised me to gain the hands on experience which is required to solve real world problems in my field. Curriculum is good but hectic because on following up this you will get very less time for extra activites rather than studies.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internships are offered in my college from various reputed companies such as tcs, cognizant, etc for management facilities and stipends are also provided in this internship facility. I am from mechanical I don't know about my field on internship but yeah I have heard that internship facility is good.

Placement Experience

5

Placement to Job related to software developments or any other computer based engineering is very high but for core branches the placement rate is low but employability is high. As after Btech many chose to do MBA or mtech and get high paid jobs after the colllege. Companies like TCS, Capgemini, etc. reaches to IEM for taking students. Last year 87% got placed in overall branches which is better than other colleges at this rate. My plan after getting degree is to further study and get high paid jobs in other big companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly the college takes 7,85,000 excluding the hostel fee. Fee Structure is broken down as 120000 on First semester and remaining 95000 on each for 7 semester. Fee Structure is quite good as compared to other expensive private colleges. The fee is increasing year by year like previous year the first semester fee was 110000 and now 200000

Campus Life

3

Fests are the greatest contributor in making the college life better and our college conducts many tech fest and cultural fest such as IEMPACT, SMF, IDEAHACKATHON, MECHATRONICA, etc. to motivate us for our carrier. Many international conference are arranged to guide and teach us in different fields to sustain in carrier. The library is big and equipped in many books. But the biggest flaw is the infrastructure, The campus is smaller as compared to other colleges which makes it congested if you want big campus then this place is not for you but overall the other facilities are good.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facility is quite good in basis of fooding as it provide better food as hostel and lodging is quite tough because it has plenty of rules and regulations which I see as not necessary for an engineering student. Meal quality is better and menu is fixed and sometimes give special food on any special occasion. Hostel registration is one time payment type. The hostel buildings are scattered in a locality which I think is a bane for hostel life but overall it is quite good.

Admission

I chose this college over other colleges due to placement rate and fee Structure. I have applied to Kiit and vit which I had got chance but as I am from Bengal so chose this college instead as It's placement rate is quite high than other colleges. This college is very reputed and maintain its legacy in past years. The admission process is likewise of other colleges. Student can get admission on basis of Jee cutoff, Wbjee cutoff and this college organises its own exam called IEMJEE which also takes admission. The fees here is very affordable and the outcomes are too good.

Faculty

4

the faculty to student ratio is 20:1 which is quite good. Every module has different teachers itself. Faculties are quite supportive and they teach us well. Faculties like BBM , Jeet sir are very good and friendly. My institute conducts 3 exams per semester which are 2 mid sem and 1 end sem including practicals in all exams. The exam system is much better and the papers are not so hard that can't be written. The course are mentioned with their outcomes so that we can know the gain from the course after completion. The courses in each sem are divided by modules which have highly qualified professors for each of them. Like my semester each subjects are divided into 7 modules which have different faculties. The courses are very good for soft skills and hands-on skills

Night Life

5

Nightlife in our college i.e after college you can use college gym, basket ball court to play and near our college there are many cafe, pubs or any other restaurants to hangout and chill with friends. As the college is based in the area of tech park so nearby many accomodities are there..

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. The competition for placement is getting really high these days

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

Placement Experience:

Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.
