Course Curriculum Overview

3

Belonging from a commerce background and being an aspiring entrpreneur, choosing Bcom from a well reputed college of DU was a great step. More than what the curriculum provides, the practical work which is done in the socities is more beneficial for future. At the same time, subjects like business organisation and management and Digital Marketing provides theory that helps taking better decisions in real world cases. The area of improvement would be providing real world examples more rather than grasping just the theory. When it comes to the exams, along with the semester exams, regular tests are conducted with a moderate level difficulty.

Fees and Financial Aid

For every semester, a b.com student pays approximately 21,000 making it to a total of 1.26 lac for the complete graduation. The facalities we get even after paying a mere amount is superb. There is an additional examination fees which varies according to the subjects applied for which is around 1300 per sem. For some categories, the fees is lowered (like for pwd, st, etc) while the fees for practical exams are higher than the normal.

Campus Life

5

The campus life here is amazing, because of the regualar events which are being conducted. The major events that happen is Nexus and Jalsa, in which renowned artists are called such as Mohit Chauhan. There are many academic societies such as Ecosoc, Brainiacs, Comsoc etc. And extracurricular societies of Dance, Drama, etc. The college provides sports facalities too, one of the testimonial of it will be Navdeep Singh, a paralympic gold winner.

Admission

I always kept Delhi University as my top priority and according to my score (i.e758) i was alloted Sri Venkateswara College. I gave IPMAT too alongside, but during the whole preparation i knew my domain subjects are my stregnths and focusing more on them will be a better idea. I couldn't cleae IPMAT for this reason, but my focus on CUET resulted in a good college allotment. I was also alloted SD College, Chandigarh and Jagsom, Bangalore.

Faculty

3

The faculty of our college is very supporting. In addition, pedagogy of our lecturers are upto the mark. For a group of 75 students, there is one lecturer for each subject, but diffrent mentors are alloted to each group to make the whole system smooth. In class activities and competitions are organised and presentations are made by the teacbers for enhanced learning. For eg. In SEC, A startup pitch competition was conducted in class. The exams are normally moderate just like any other college of DU.

Night Life

4

Just infront of the college, there are a number of cafes, PGs, local vendors, chemist shop, gyms, etc. The best hangout place is the chaii ki tappri and the momos vendor, where one can find students everytime. The nightlife of the place is also great! The hostel timings is till 8pm and the campus timings is till 6pm sharp. Dhaula Kuan has many restraunts and cafes. Along with that Chanakyapuri is near the place, which has a peaceful environment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculam is well-structured and covers all the core subject relevant to the field . It help in building strong theroritcial knowledge but lacks enough real-world case studies and industry exposure . Exam are conducted regularly and are of moderate difficulty . Adding more project-based or skill oriented components would make the course more practical and beneficial for placements or higher studies .

Placement Experience:

When students enter 3rd year of their college , they are eligible to sit for placements but should have minimum 8 CGPA .A lot of companiess visit campus , details of companies are on the website of college. The highest placement till now is 20 Lakhs per Annum and average goes around 6-7 Lakhs per Annum. A decent percentage of students get placed. Honestly most students here are pursuing professional courses so they don't sit for placements instead continue with their courses .
