An honest review on my college.

So my course has the total of 162 credits which has different types of courses like Foundation core, Discipline core, Discipline linked engineering sciences, open electives, bridge course, non graded courses, projects and Internships.So all in all it prepared using very well for the real world applications. Difficulty of exams is on moderate level but that of CATII as it's a open book exam is high.

The internships are offered at the end of the sixth or seventh semester.It is compulsory for all the students to go through at least one internship as it will help later in getting the placements as you will get a work experience. Apart from that I can't tell you more about that as I haven't gone through it yet .

From 6th or 7th semester most of the students go for the placements in the campus.I can't tell you precisely about this as I am the 2nd year student but I have heard from my seniors about this and they are pretty satisfied with their placements and said that many companies visit the campus for the on-campus placements. Highest package was 1 cr last year to two students and average package goes around 8-9 lakhs per annum. My plans after getting degree are to go to the placements.

So there are 5 categories for tution fees- 1st category -2,00,000 fees per year 2nd category - 3,00,000 fees per year 3rd category - 4,00,000 fees per year 4th category - 4,50,000 fees per year 5th category - 5,00,000 fees per year So this is the pattern that's followed category is decided based on your rank of their entrance exam -VITEEE .So I got the third category and I have to pay 4,00,000 per year Apart from tution fees only hostel and mess fees is taken.

There are two fests held annually.one is Gravitas-which is a technical fest and held every year in the month of September and the other is Reviera-which is a cultural fest and held every year in the month of February . The library is huge consisting of 6 floors and contains all the books in the world and they also take the student input and add more books as possible. There are various clubs and chapters.By joining them you can develop your skills and can also learn about teamwork.There are also various NGOs which help the people.

For the first year you can select the hostel of your choice but from the second year onwards the hostels are allotted on the basis of your CGPA.Higher CGPA students get the priority to select their rooms. But every hostel has good infrastructure and facilities so not much of a problem. Based on the type of room you decide ,the hostel fees differs.Like the hostel fees is more for the AC rooms than that of non AC rooms and more for single beds,two beds compared to that of 4 beds and 6 beds. There are 3 types of mess-veg,non veg and special mess.Students can select whichever mess they want .Price of the special mess is higher than that of veg and non veg mess. But the food quality is good in all the messes and the menu is pretty satisfying.

I wanted the CSE branch in the top IITs and top NITs but after not getting it ,I thought this college was the best option for me as I got CSE branch as well in this college and it is one of the top private colleges. An entrance exam is conducted for the admission known as VITEEE,based on the exam,the rank is given and based on the ranks the category of fees is decided.

There are so many faculties.I can't tell about the exact ratio but it must be high.Some of the faculties are very approachable not all but most of them are. There are 3 exams conducted every semester -CAT I ,CATII and FAT . CATI and CATII both have the weightage of 15%,while the FAT has the weightage of 40%. Among these CATII is the open book exam.

The thing is we are not allowed to roam around in the campus at night.The hostel in timings are 9 pm for the boys and I think for girls its even less. Campus in timings are 7:30 pm. Libraries are open though till 12 pm so you can sit their but apart from that there is no night life in the campus.
