Course Curriculum Overview

5

college changes the syllabus in every two three years, the subjects of last years freshers and this years freshers are different, subjects like DSA, OOPS and OS are introduced 2nd semester onwards, up to date curriculum and best in class teaching method, exams are frequent soo no issues in syllabus completion

Placement Experience

5

Students can apply for placements from 6th semester onwards, last year nearly 870 companies visited and 11000 students got placed on campus, highest package was of 1cr and average package was 7lpa whereas for CSE specific it was 10lpa, i plan to do master after the degree

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees has to be paid once a year in the start of the odd semester, fees structure is category based, there are 5 categories the better rank you get in vit entrance exam the better is your category, 1st category fees is 193000, 2nd is 250000,3rd is 350000, 4th is 400000 and 5th is nearly 500000, there is no management or sc/st based relief on fees if you get under 200 rank then there is a scholarship, there are many other scholarship given on the vit website

Campus Life

5

There are two fests held in one year one is a tech fest named gravitas where hackathons are held, automobile fests are held and also finanace based events are held, the other one is the cultural fest typically for 4 days where celebrities and singers are called and is very fun, also state aikyas and other cultural events are held, all the tech equipments are maybe best in india and there are many clubs even pan india clubs as well, VIT has a specific team for every sport and goes for tournament throughout india

Hostel Facilities

4

There are 3 room types, non AC, normal AC and deluexe blocks. Deluexe blocks are just bigger and better than normal AC blocks, there are 1,2,3,4,6 and 8 bedded rooms available. Mess are of three types Veg, Non Veg and Special. All kinds of food is available and quality is good and clean, given the price of rooms the rooms are bit on expensive side. You cant get a PG or room outside the campus without being a dayboarder and if even if you do they are pretty expensive.

Admission

I got good percentile in JEE so i was getting admission in few mid ranked and top NITs, but there was no CSE branch available in any top NIT and I specifically wanted CSE branch soo I applied for other entrances exams for SRM,Amrita,VIT and Manipal but out of all I preffered VIT because it has a good package and better NIRF ranking than even many NITs, also after bachelors I want to do masters from abroad and VIT has best reputation for CSE abroad when it comes to CSE.VIT accepts admission through VITEEE exam which asks questions from class 12th PCM, English and General aptitude

Faculty

5

50 students in one class and a teacher takes hardly 2 batches soo there is enough focus on each student. There are exams 3 times a year, CAT1 and CAT 2 15% weightage each and FAT exam 40% weightage other weightage is of quiz, assignment and lab, there are many faculties even from abroad

Night Life

2

There is no night life in VIT, you have to reach your room by 9, there are only 2 exceptions to that 1st is that you go library but for that youll have to reach library by 9 and the second is that you take part in any club and youll get chance to prepare for events for that club in fests times. There are 3 gyms inside the campus with all the equipments and machines other than that there are many good gyms outside the campus as well. There are many food courts and cafes near the campus but youll never get to roam around in night due to hostel timings

Other Applied Colleges

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

I found VIT as a better option

The placement and the package in this current year is less when compared to previous years. This is due to the more admissions in computer science field and more employees are there.the highest package is 12L/yr . 18% of students will get placed. My plan is to start private construction agency.

There is no good roads to our college. As there is a good and excellent hostel mess with sufficient seating arrangement. There is bus service to each and every corner. As the drawbacks are there no separate playground for cricket and hockey.
