Should I prefer MAIT or VIT Vellore for an IT branch?

I am a student of B.Tech IT at VIT Vellore. According to me, VIT Vellore is a better option for IT as compared to MAIT because of the following reasons- VIT Vellore offerstop class infrastructureandopportunitiesfor its students. The campus is visited bytop recruiting companies each yearbecause of which IT placements are quite good for VIT. These companies offergood packagesto students during placements. The college offers ampleexposureto IT students in the form ofinternship offers, training offers, and student exchange programs.The IT companies that visit VIT Vellore for placements are-TCS, Wipro, Infosys,andCognizant, among others. Thus, I would recommend you join VIT Vellore for B.Tech IT instead of MAIT.

Exams here are not so difficult at the same time not so easy unless you study time to time.

I am from category 2 in 2024. I will be paying around 3 lakh per year incuding tution fees development fees ,lab fees, for the four years along with 187000 for my hostel wich is a 4 bed AC type. The hostel registration fees is 15K and the caution deposit is 15K. The collage fees would vary acording to your category which can be opted basined upon the course and VITEEE rank. 1st category 2 lakh 2nd category 3 lakh 3rd category 4 lakh 4th category 4.5 lakh 5th category 5 lakh Hostel fees will vary from a range 1.4 lakh to 2.4 lakh depending upon room size(2,3,4,6,8) and room type (non AC, AC normal,AC deluxe)

The year wise fees is different for different category . Mine was cat 3 so my fees was 4 lakh rupees yearly. One of my friend have category 5 he have yearly fees of 500000. I have another friend who is category 2 he have fees of 3 lakh per year. I have not opted for any scholarship.

So there are 5 categories for tution fees- 1st category -2,00,000 fees per year 2nd category - 3,00,000 fees per year 3rd category - 4,00,000 fees per year 4th category - 4,50,000 fees per year 5th category - 5,00,000 fees per year So this is the pattern that's followed category is decided based on your rank of their entrance exam -VITEEE .So I got the third category and I have to pay 4,00,000 per year Apart from tution fees only hostel and mess fees is taken.

The category depends on the marks of students in VITEEE : (the entrance exam one need to crack to get admission) The category-wise fees for the 2024–2025 academic year at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) are as follows: Category 1 For undergraduate courses, the fee is INR 96,000 for the first to third year. Category 2 For undergraduate courses, the fee is INR 1,59,000 for the first to third year. Category 3 For undergraduate courses, the fee is INR 1,92,000 for the first to third year. Here are some other fees for VIT Vellore: One-time fee: For B.E./B.Tech courses, the one-time fee is INR 2,000–3,000. For M.E./M.Tech courses, the one-time fee is INR 3,000. My college VIT

Tuition fee ranges from 3 lakh to 5 lakh per year. There are 5 categories. Category 1 has fee 3 lakh, category 2 has 3 lakh, category 3 has 4 lakh and category 4 has 4.5 lakh and category 5 has 5 lakh.This is including GST. Hostel and all other fee remains same for all irrespective of the category.

An overview of VIT Vellore!

the tution fees here is 198000 for category 1 that includes lab , library , classes and all. hostel and mess charges are seprate as my room is 3 bed A/C its cost is 167000.faculty is good overall.there are foriegn students also.

The best thing is ffcs which stands for fully flexible credit system by which you can create your own time table and also choose faculty under whom you want to complete a specific course.

Dislikes

There are many exams happening in VIT so you will get less time to focus on extra things like development , or any field whom you are interested and want to do.

Start with the year wise fees of mine. So i was paying 490000 as my tution fee and hostel fee is depending on which type of bed you are opting and it is ac or non ac. I opted for 2 bedded Ac which cost me around me around 88000 and mess is aslo depending on the type of mess you are opting ,i opt for special mess which cost me around 62000. Apart from that there are two more types of mess which is non veg and veg mess which cost less comapre to special mess.Veg mess will cost you around 50000 and non veg is around 56000. I was in 5th category.
