Course Curriculum Overview

4

I got influenced due to the medical and electrical and electronics and communication aspects in the field. The difficulty level for exams were moderate ad there was atleast one day gaps between the exams.

Internships Opportunities

4

There were 12 companies out of which atleast 5 offered internships during placements with a fixed amount of 10000 per month. The internships started during last semester and ran for 6 months . There were some projects which were beneficial to the students.

Placement Experience

4

The placements were offered to students once they finished their fifth semester. The highest package for our department was from Zifo technology with a package amount of 5 lakhs per annum . The number of companies visited to our department was only 12. The average package was 3 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students getting placements was only 85 percent.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees were 85000. There is some difference due to reservation. The following are the fees structure(year wise)**: Govt. Quota: General - 100000 and above OBC - 40000 - 100000 SC & ST - 35000 Management Quota General - 200000 OBC - 100000+ SC/ST - 50000+ There are many govt. Benefits for OBC/SC/ST while studying through the course. ** - For department, it varies.

Campus Life

4

The festivals celebrated was takshashila on March, symposium on May . The library is huge with varieties of books available for each departments. There is a projector for each classroom . The sports and ECA offered varies from indoors such as chess, outdoors such as cricket. There are groups such as tedx, magazine groups and anti ragging cell for students welfare .

Admission

I chose only this college during the admission process. I chose only this because of good job opportunities and placements prospects. The admission was only through JEE and the cutoff depends the various other departments you choose

Faculty

3

The faculty to students ratio was 1:4 . The faculties which I liked was Mathematics, Microbiology , Placements , Medical Physics , Signals and Systems and rehabilitation engineering. The faculties which I don't like were Biocontrol systems, Communication English and Diagnostic and therapeutic equipment. The reason was some miscommunication and misunderstood concepts. There are atleast 2 to 10 exams per semester and sometimes students fail in 1 or 2 subjects.

Night Life

4

Since I was a day scholar , there was no night life . But for a few days we stayed in hostel due to placements. Accordingly the hostel timings were from 4 am to 11 pm and campus from 8 am to 3 pm. The gym open at 6 am and close at 9 pm and the cafeteria opens at 7 am and closes at 11 pm

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

Placement Experience:

Chennai Institute of Technology is an instituition that truly prioritizes student career growth . The placement cell is exceptionallu well-organized ,consistently connecting students with reputed companies across various industries. What makes CIT stood out is the quality of its training staff. They focus heavily on communication , technical knowledge and competitive preparation ,align students with what top companies expect ,and contiuosly push us to improve and meet industry standards. Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence. The department faculty are equally commnedable ,knowledgable ,approachable and genuinely invested in student career. Overall CIT is an excellent choice for anyone focused on building a strong and sucessful career
