Course Curriculum Overview

5

I have opted mechanical engineer. The reason why I choosed it because I was always into automobiles and I wanted to learn more descriptively about it. In terms of curriculum it is 75 percentage applicable in real - world . Teaching methods are quite appreciable. Exams may sometimes be hard and easy. It depends. But timing can be mostly so tight schedule.

Internships Opportunities

5

There are many companies like Kochi Metro, Kalkitech, Cochin Shipyard, which provides internship opportunities for our students and yeah it's so worthy to attend these internships. The exposure we acquire from such internships will be quite catchy in our resume. The knowledge we gain will be useful for our future endeavours.

Placement Experience

4

Well, Our college has a massive placement records. Main technical companies like , TCS, IBM, Wipro, banks like Federal Bank, South Indian Bank , other companies like , Ather , Bosch, Toyota etc approaches our college for selecting students for their firms. Our college offers minimum salary packages about 3.5 lakhs per annum to mighty packages like 15-18 lakhs per annum for both UG and PG graduates. Around 65 percentage of students from the classes are getting placed every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Well for me , I've got admission as a "Tuition Fee Waiver" so there is no tution fees for me. But there are some other fees including college requirements such as labs, internet, technical fest, Arts fest, which consists of approximately 5000/- per annum. Hostel accomodation costs extra amount but it's not necessary for me as I don't use it. Also annual tution fee costs around 9500/- and totally for a student who gets admission as in General category requires a fees of around 10000 - 15000 per annum. As of my knowledge, there is not any scholarships which are provided by the college management except for government based financial aids like E-Grantz and other scholarships for minority sections.

Campus Life

5

Main pros of our campus is its life. We students get to socially enjoy ourselves, develop new friendships and enjoy our campus exposure. The infrastructure of our campus is one of its major advantage. There are a variety of clubs in oru college like ASME , SAE, IEEE, NSS MACE, etc which provides a technical and social growth for each student.

Admission

I had applied for same courses on Muthoot institute of science and technology, as well as Fisat angamaly etc. but I realised that more of government aided college like MACE would give me more exposure in terms of my professional career than studying in self financing colleges. Also I got both of my allotments in MACE. So I choose not to change my decision. Also the placement records were quite impressive than other colleges. Admission process of my college is quite simple. It takes about 3 - 4 hours including a seminar session. The eligibility is only to clear KEAM examination and should meet following rank requirements. Admission experience was great and it was like so technical.

Faculty

4

There are sufficient faculties in our college for each departments. They're extremely qualified individuals. As most of the faculties are extremely devoted to their job, some of the faculties sincerity is questionable. Our college until last year was under ktu system and followed same as like there was two internal exams out of 40 marks for each subjects in the respective semesters. And there will be university exam out of 100 marks and 75 marks for some labs. Course curriculum is very relevant. Well as in my class, only one or two fails to clear some papers .

Night Life

5

Well I'm a day scholar and hasn't experienced nightlife of our campus so much but from my experience it's good. Late night college programs were so memorable and worthy. There are so many hangout places in our college like oru college canteen named "Oottupura" , "Mech corner" especially for mechanical students etc where people evolve, relax, share their thoughts and make friends.

Other Applied Colleges

Muthoot Institute of Technology & Science - [MITS] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

Well I knew that MACE would provide more exposure in terms of my future than at Muthoot

Placement Experience:

Placements cells are supportive in terms of networking with different companies and are readily active for the students competing in getting internships and placements. The college has a tie up with different companies like Infosys , Wipro , Deloitte , IBM , NVIDIA , Deshaw Private Limited etc. Students become eligible from semester 5 onwards for on campus placements. The offers made by these companies are 8 LPA to 9 LPA by deloitte , innfosys , and IBM but the highest package is being offered by Deshaw and NVIDIA that is 60 LPA and 47 LPA. The average package is around 11 LPA and the percentage of students getting placed are above 80%. My plan after getting the degree is to work for an IT Company to get the hands on knowledge about what the current technologies demand and get experienced in that and work further upon it.

Campus placements are highly volatile taking the stats from over the past three years there has been an up trend as well a down trend, I hope I will get placed through on campus interviews, the highest package of this year was for two graduates who got into IBM with 22 lakhs per aanum, there are few who didn't get into any of the companies while there were others who got int Amazon and other reputated companies, if I do not get into a reputed company through my college on campus placements the.
