Course Curriculum Overview

Green chemistry, quantum chemistry and biochemistry are included in this curriculum which made it very attractive as most of today's research is going on in these fileds. also, chemistry is one of the oldest course offered by KMC by well reputed faculties. exams happen twice in a year. excellent infrastructure

Internships Opportunities

Internships, fellowships and apprenticeship are regularly offered all round the year. Roles typically include- investment analyst, consultant, sales manager, marketing, etc. salaries typically range from 23,000-30,000 with duration of 6 months- 1 year

Placement Experience

internship oppurutunities are offerend all round the year from 2nd semester and placemnt oppurutunities offered from 5th semester. Companies visited- DE Shaw, Zomato, Bain & Co and all top brands. Highest package goes as far as 70 lac and median package is 7,00,000-8,00,000. almost 30% students are placed and many opt for higher studies abroad. currently, I'm preparing for the civil services examination

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid 14,000 per year. It included tution fees, development fees, lab fees and other compulsory fees. examination fees of approx. 2000 were charged for each semester. DU offers various quotas- single child, women, single parent, martyr, etc.

Campus Life

KMC campus is always buzzing with fests, competiotions, guesstimates, speaker sessions. well developed library and reading room with access to almost all course books. computer facilites have been provided. Host of sports competitions are organised in collaboaration with Khelo India, Ministry of Sports and Youth Development. One of my highlights will be the visit of Dr S Jainshankar to our college.

Admission

i had only applied to this college and i got admitted during the 5th round of admission. ususally, kmc prefers students above 400 score in CUET UG exam. overall admission process was smooth, completely digitised.

Faculty

faculty to student ratio is approximately 1:40. faculties are very friendly, approachable and well educated. total we had 6 semesters including assignments, class tests, practicals and presentataions. exam level is easy to moderate. course curriculum is relevent as per changing times.

Night Life

Favorite hangout spots- sudama ki chai, tom uncle maggie point, kamla nagar market is backside of our college. Campus timings are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. also, don't miss clicking a picture with the famous blue door of kmc!

THE ALL ROUNDER

Likes

The college has a very beautiful greeny campus.
The library is just the best thing that the college has , it is the largest in du, with computers study area all books and magazines newspaper and other necessities.
The students and teachers are very kind helpful ambitious and intelligent , you will learn a lot here.

Dislikes

The administration sometimes works too slowly regarding dew things.
The canteen is very big and food is also nice but in rain water gets concentrated there.

Placement Experience:

it is said that the placements of this college are good and average being 10LPA and 17 LPA the highest. Many companies come for the placement drive every year and many of seniors have got placement in their third year.

College and my 1st year

Likes

All girls college not male allowed in there without permission so everything feels right and safe
Conducts annual fests to change the vibe
Gotta know different types of people from different places

Dislikes

Student often get used to bad habits like smoking and drinking
To many protests everyone is doing protest even for the smallest inconvenience
Some teachers doesn't complete the syllabus they left it and students have to study on their own

Course Curriculum Overview:

Initially I wanted to choose physics honours with somehow I felt physics will get me to hard as per by 12 so I choose chemistry honours over physics honours and as if I am doing bsc so yeah it is giving me all the Chemistry by and I feeling alrighting am a learning will help me for job one day the classroom here are very small and very uncomfortable to set and study only thing for teaching I want to change for my department is the classrooms and examination schedule date sheet is also very bad for Delhi University like they change the date sheet 4 to 5 times within a month and till the one is not confirmed so yeah that's things

Dream college or not ?

Likes

Greenery of college campus and surrounding areas
Close metro access and other basic amenities
Diverse crowd which allows good exposure overall

Dislikes

Wifi Network is slow and not available at all places in campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

Life science includes zoology botany and chemistry considering this combo I think the study material is quite okay in terms of topics chemistry connects school teaching with one step ahead learning . Zoology provides new insights on various topics . Botany covers deeper understanding of syllabus . So overall it's good . Hands on lab work meets the demand of the subject . Also the topics taught match with the type of questions asked in exam. Difficulty level i would say it's moderate for botany and zoology but for chemistry is quite tough. Time management is a much needed skill for examination purpose. For course curriculum i would say more focus on current situation should be laid rather than history .

venky is one of the best college in south campus

Likes

ratio of girls to boys is almost equal and students are well behaved
quality of social interaction is good students are cooperative
college societies are helpful for students and provide good guiding

Dislikes

our campus have 30+ dogs which is sometimes harmful for students
there is a language barrier between students and teachers
EVs faculty is very strict and they are not cooperative

The life at SVC

Likes

The fees is quite affordable, giving you a lot of flexibility for other academic programs/ commitments
The college has a great reputation and brand value
The exposure that the college provides in real life

Dislikes

The infrastructure is old and outdated, has a lot of scope for improvement
The administrative work is very slow and includes too much formalities
Low focus on co curricular activities and sports

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements in the 3rd year of their graduation. Various companies offer multiple roles for placements on our campus like Nation With NaMo, Deloitte, KPMG, Accenture etc. and the no. of offers made usually varies between 250-400 depending on the batch. The average package is around 6.5-7 LPA and the highest usually varies from 13-15 LPA L. Usually 50 percent of the students get placed directly from campus and rest usually pursue some other academic programs or even off campus placements.

Likes

the location, nearest metro station ie Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus is at a walking distance of 2-5 mins
the crowd, students are quite decent and friendly.
opportunities, in college itself there are so many opportunities for students to explore through college societies

Dislikes

classes are canceled sometimes without any prior notice which creates a hassle for students coming from far away.

Placement Experience:

the placements of sri venkateswara college are quite good. campus placements are offered for third and fourth year students to the best of my knowledge. the average ctc offered was of 6.43 lacs, highest of 13.4 lpa. many great companies like bain and company, bcg, ey, deloitte, pwc, goldman sachs, accenture, rsa offered placements. in total, 70+ companies came and about 115+ students were placed.

Likes

I like the atmosphere in our college. Our college promotes us to think beyond the boundaries.
We have lush green campus in vivek vihar . Our campus is surrounded by parks and we'll managed societies.
The student in our college share a very good mindset . Each student has some unique qualities or the other .

Dislikes

The faculty is not very good here . The teachers don't listen to problems faced by the students .
Our college's online presence is very disturbed. Our college website lags a lot and there are always issues with attendence.
The authorities are not very well managed .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

The Honest Opinion about Hansraj College

Likes

The College provides great Exposure to everyone.
The Crowd and Societies of the College are always active and energetic.

Dislikes

The whole structure of Admin office is underdeveloped, which utilizes a lot of our precious time.
Many of the College events are ill-organised.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.

See...I kept Hindu college as my first reference in CSAS portal, and KMC was my 3rd preference after St Stephen's. I kept around 36 colleges with different courses. The reason I didn't keep KMC below all the colleges that I kept below KMC is because of it's upper edge in terms of academics, faculty members, location and their ranks. After I got KMC, I was really happy and when I realised that the possibilities of me getting Hindu or St Stephen's College were less, I was bit upset. But my sadness didn't last long cause later on after researching about KMC in detail I realised that it's no different from all the other colleges of North campus and some of the south campus colleges. KM COLLEGE - FILLED WITH COMPLAINTS ?

I chose it over others since it's the only north campus college with a good reputation and name providing Political Science Honours other than Hindu college , I preferred Hindu over it but due to inadequate marks I couldn't qualify for Hindu . And being a male limits my scope of availing colleges like Miranda House or LSR . My journey at Kirori Mal college

Ok so I have a whole journey of my admission process . In the first round of my allocation i got confirmed admission in hansraj college for history hons then I applied for upgradation n then I got miranda house for same course but I was not happy with my course n then in round 3 under cw category I got pol science hons in kmc college I know I have already got good colleges in initial round but for my preferred course I decided to sacrifice my colleges . The admission process of kmc is quite smooth like within half of a day I got my admission confirmed there n even after coming late they reopen their erp portal for choosing different papers for those students who got upgradation in later rounds ....Read More

KMC is Karizmatic!!

St Stephens as for BSc it is arguably one of the best colleges of DU. The cut-off was just missed by some points or else, i would have been there. College wise we are also among the best and to get admissions here, CUET (UG) and then once the results are out, CSAS portal is where i registered. I booked my seat through there and locked ut before it was gone. Yes, sometimes we miss out on our favourite college due to that but it is inevitable to lock that on time as well....Read More

Nice internship opportunities with good companies
