Likes

Even through the infrastructure of our college is small yet it is good.
Faculty of our college is very good, as they conduct classes regularly.
As NEP, our curriculam is diverse that let us to study other domains too.

Dislikes

Ground is good but not maintained regularly.
Placement cell was not active post-covid.
Teachers are not that much supportive of ECA

Course Curriculum Overview

What influenced me is the diversity of subject to choose in my course. Physical science course deals with the real life application of the subjects we are studying. Areas of improvements would be the ability to choose other subjects in core. The frequency and timing of exams are not at that much difficulty level.

Class Size: 49Course Fees: INR 9915 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are some internship in our college:- ELITE Summer interehip VC intership And many research projects under the supervision of faculty. Many seniors of mine had their research paper published under the teacher and got stipened for it.

Fees and Financial Aid

In first year it was 10915. After getting in second year it increased to 12915. All the tution fee, caution fee, registration, admission and lab fee was included in it. For other category like SC, ST, OBC it was also same and PWd fee was around half of it. Some of scholorships in our college is:- Best student silver jubliee award, sultand chand empowerment, teena gupta memorial and more. With each scholorship covering around or more than 1 year college fee.

Campus Life

Leiothrixx is the annual festival in our college. Technical fest is Overlord by computer Department. Other is optiverse conducted by SPIE society. There are many clubs in our college:- PICFIE, SPIE, MAYRAA, DHUN, DHWANI, PARITANTRA, UBA.

Admission

I mainly choosed ANDC as it is one of the best college in Delhi University for Science students as in our college there are multiple labs for students, teachers are putting their effort in teaching students and our college is in 18th NIRF rank.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is good. And they are approachable. I liked Sanjay sir, Monika mam, Preeti mam, Gaurav sir most in college. I didn't liked vatsala, anupama, chandra kant. There are only 2 sem in one year are exams are conducted at the end of every sem. Many students fail to clear the exams reason being not studying properly or in some case they are involed in eca more than studies.

Night Life

There are no hostels around our college but there are many PG in the nearby area that is affordable. There is canteen in our college, a small gym in sports room and RFID enabled library in which students can issue and return books on their own without the assistance of librarian.

A great learing experience- my college review

Course Curriculum Overview:

I didn’t get into medical college. The curriculum is not that good in my course. Practical should be more focused and research papers. Timing is just 2 hrs for core paper many students exam are left for writing in short duration

We have the placement cell department which places the students. Mainly 3rd year students are eligible for the placements. The highest package was I think 35 LPA in 2024. And average package is around 5 LPA

Ignou: Flexibility And Disappointment

Placement Experience:

Placements in IGNOU are quite limited compared to regular universities. Since IGNOU is an open and distance learning university, it does not have a strong campus placement system like DU or private colleges. There is a Campus Placement Cell (CPC) that conducts job fairs and recruitment drives at some regional centers, but these are not very frequent and mostly depend on the location. Usually, students who are in their final year or have completed the course can apply, but there is no fixed semester rule since the system is flexible. The companies that visit are not very large in number and vary every year. Some private firms, NGOs, BPOs, insurance companies, and small IT firms have participated in the past. The roles are generally entry-level such as sales, customer support, data entry, insurance advisor, or junior IT support. There are very limited opportunities for core mathematics or research roles through placements. As far as packages are concerned, the average package is usually around ?2.5 LPA to ?4 LPA, but since IGNOU is an open university, it cannot be expected to have the same placement levels as regular colleges with full-time classes. Also, the percentage of students placed is very small because most IGNOU students are either working professionals, homemakers, or people preparing for competitive exams, so placements are not the main focus. Many students use the degree as a qualification while pursuing their own career path outside. I am currently in my 2nd year, so I do not have personal placement experience yet. The data I have mentioned here is based on internet sources and feedback from other IGNOU students. From what I have learned, placements exist but are very limited, and one should not rely only on them for career building.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason for the choice of course is ofcourse personal interest also, research work in chemistry is highly interesting and also has scope in fields like chemical engineering,forensic sciences etc. The teaching methods are really good and the books prescribed are available in the libraries. The timing of exams are according to the university and is into two halves.

Glorious last days of your life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of my course BSc honours physics is pretty good and it provides sufficient informations in theory classes and practical labs are maintain good and teachers are actively participate in the practicals with the students to teach them more about this course. The frequency of the timing is difficult I can say that because it has many theory classes and on everyday due to which the students can't focus on the subjects and regular activities other than main course.

ANDC= The most average old school type campus life

Good for science courses but infrastructure and surrounding area is not good

I got admission to this college through cuet. I only applied to colleges of DU. Rather than ANDC I applied to Hansraj college of Delhi University but I did not get admission because my marks did not clear the cut off score of that college as Hansraj college is of North campus and has high cut off score.
