Nit Jalandhar review

Our branch that is industrial and production engineering is similar to mechanical engineering (almost 75 percent syllabus is same) but it includes management perspective as well which teaches to how to run a business or industry in efficient way to make maximum profit out of minimum inputs which lead me choose this branch. Curriculum is also well prepared for tackling real world problems related to industry and programming languages such as python and c are also added in syllabus to make it relavent to today's world industry and also helpful for students who want to go for software profile jobs.in industrial and production engineering students gets also adequate amount of time apart from syllabus to focus on some side hustles.exams are held twice in a semester one is mid semester exam and other end semester exam which are very much relevant to course and difficulty level is medium,exams are neither too tough nor too easy.

Internship opportunities are also available in our college. Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, snapdragon, nvidia,tata etc come for internship opportunities with stipend depending upon company to company varying from 20k-80k. At internship students have to work on a defined project like web development,cyber security and ethical hacking etc depending upon company and students performing well get ppos

Our campus placement are good. Top companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Tata,Uber,Paytm, snapdragon and many more visits our campus for placement and internship opportunities. In 6 th semester students become eligible for campus placement,as per the current status the highest package offered was 52 lpa and offers by Google and placement percentage is 87 percent and average package is 13.87 lpa

The year wise fees for general/obc category students whose family income is more than 5 lakh annually is 181000(hostel fee not included) and hostel fee is 61000 per year.Students with family income in range of 1-5 lakh per annum gets 2/3 fee waiver in their course fee but hostel fee is required to pay full and students with family income less than 1 lakh per annum or belonging to sc/st category have null tution fee and they require only to pay hostel fee that is 61000 per year,most of students in our batch are among 2/3 fee waiver and some also have full course fee null but myself i have to pay full fee as no category and family income above 5 lakh

The campus life of nit Jalandhar is amazing. There is one technical fest named techniti it is held in the month of September and it is a three day fest and very amazing fest to learn and know more about technical things. The cultural fest is also very amazing and attractive here it is named utkansh which is a three day fest and held every year in second week of March. There are two libraries at nit Jalandhar one is central library which have books and other is new library which have computer systems installed and in central library there are around 70 k books available in library which comprises books from every branch and every field. Classrooms contains digital boards , projector,speaker which make learning easy and effective. The sports and extra curricular activities are very good here and every sports including cricket, football, volleyball, basketball etc are included and extra curricular activities are very good and different clubs are there which one can join as per interest. The social group and clubs have very strong impact on students life at nit j and joining clubs, societies and sports make us good in leadership and management.

Hostels are quite descent here. In hostel rooms for first year there are four sharing rooms and for second and third year there are double sharing rooms and for fourth year single seater room. Talking about first year hostel there is four sharing room in which chairs, tables,lights,fans ,beds are provided and hostels are descent . Hostel meal is decided by mess committee which is selected from students in hostels and menu is changed time to time. Registration for hostel has to be done online before arriving campus and hostels are affordable as one year fee for hostel is 61000 including accommodation and meals.

As per my jee rank i applied for nit Jalandhar,nit kurukshetra and nit Hamirpur and i prefered nit Jalandhar because it is near to my home town and campus life is also very good and seniors are very supportive here, weather is also good here. As i applied for others courses in other colleges i could get selected there too as per my rank but I preferred nit Jalandhar because of the reasons mentioned above. As there is nothing complex about the admission process first we need to apply for josaa councelling and then we get seat here after that we have to verify our basic documents online that is we have to do online reporting after that we need to pay our semester fee and hostel fee and download the receipt of fee and then we have to book our hostel seats online and then on physical reporting day we need to verify our all documents to get verified and report to the hostel.

The faculty members of nit Jalandhar are very supportive, friendly and experienced.The faculty to students ratio is also good maintained . faculty members are easily approachable and they always invite us with our doubts in their respective subject to their office and facilities are easily approachable for class cr.in my case I like our management professor Dr Jagwinder Singh the most because of his teaching experience and his teaching skills are awesome and he treats students in a very friendly manner and also doesn't make attendance issues and explains all the concepts very well.Here in nit Jalandhar all facilities are good so there is nothing like to dislike any faculty member.There are two exams one is mid semester and other end semester examination and they are very much related to course and curriculum and they are neither too tough nor too easy and regularly quizs are arranged in classes and labs to polish up the concepts regularly.overall the faculty members and exam curriculum are very good.

The nightlife at nit j is very chilling. There are many hangouts spots such as Nescafe,the snackers,night canteen, campus cafe etc. Campus also have a well equipped gym , library,night canteen, Nescafe, open air theatre, student activity center,night canteen, campus cafe and many other hangout spots. Hostel in timings for first year in starting months is 6 pm after that they extend it to 7 pm and after few months it goes to 8 pm.for boys of second year and above that there is not issue of in timings and for girls it is 10 pm. Outside our college Amritsar is very near and famous hangout spot one can visit golden temple,jallianwala bagh etc and being in Punjab hill stations like Shimla,Manali,Jammu are also near so one can make a trip to there too. Our campus locality is totally safe to roam around and outside campus also there is a village named bidhipur which is also a very good safe place.
