Course Curriculum Overview
I was interested in the subject it chemistry and biology and i got both in this department which is very good for the academics of mine. Difficulty level of exams is very easy and the teaching methods of the faculties are very good , easy to understand , way better lectures taken by them, very helpful to the students in the academics
Internships Opportunities
For the department of food engineering laboratory we got various companies for the internship in private sector such as coca cola , britinia, amul, etc. And in the govt sector we get public health laboratories etc.Other departments also have various goverment sectors like PHED, PWD, RAILWAYS , NTPC, etc. Our college is very helpful in the way that they have own placement and training cell in it and there are professors assigned in every departments for helping the students to get an appurtunity of internship
Placement Experience
Placements are very nice in this campus of ours the highest placement in the history of this campus was taken by a student of instrumentation engineering which was about 25 lakhs per annum. The best branch for placements is the food engineering technology.
Fees and Financial Aid
Per semester Academic fee will be 21500 for general and Other backward castes and for SC/ST it will be 18500. There will taken some of caution money in first semester of the hostel and will be refunded by completion of graduation which will be of amount 5000.
Campus Life
There is two types of annual festivals in this university one is TECHRACY, the Technical festival which happens in the month of november and another one is ECSTASY , which is the cultural festival which happens in the month of february. there are various number of books available in the library and it makes the number 1 library in the state of assam. There are various clubs in CIT like coding club, victus , robotics club etc.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel room is facillited with fan , table , bed, balcony, wardrobes and electricity and college internet is available for 24×7. The food menu of the hostel mess is nice but quality is very poor and unhygenic. Registration for hostel is done in the 1st semester with the admission process and there is other pgs available outside the campus if anyone wants to stay and also rented rooms are available outside the campus
Admission
For selecting the department this college is very nice as of we can select various departments like instrumentation , food engineering technology , electronics and communication , civil engineering etc. all can the various aspects in which they are interested . Cuttoffs for the entrance exam in this college is not so high so all can aplly.
Faculty
The faculties of our department are very good , taught us in very managed way , relationship with the students are very much good . They are way much helpful for the semester exams as well as competitive exams like GATE, CAT, etc.
Night Life
There is one gym in the campus and two canteens in the campus and have large number of public areas such as round table , hawamahal, etc. hostel timings for girls are at 9.00pm at night and for boys is 10.00pm. the locality outside of the campus is very nice to the students and is very much safe for everyone .
