The study of society is sociology . And the keen interest to study Sociology and know the structure of society let me to take sociology. Also may bean and UPSC aspanet this was very help will be in my optional. Because curriculum that we have is anyp and it is advance syllabus even in the second year we study what be the first year study. Exam is conducted once in a semester and during a semester exam they would be to 3 days holidays between the exams and could be easy for rest to prepare for the next exam. Moreover the setting of the time table is approved by the students and it is not so he made by the professor.

I am not aware of the internship oppurtunities our College since it was only done by final year students but due to NEP , we have to also do internships , and the confirmation from wach department is yet to come. But I have heard some seniors doing internship near pondicherry University like in a school for the differentky abled and all.

As any piece implemented even in this third sem can do in 10 ships and internships can be after the void varieties of college talking about placements it is done mainly in MBA departments and many other departments in the final year after disciptation.

Year wise fee structure Academics - 20,000 Odd semester - 16000 Even semester - 3200 Hostel+ mess - 20,000 per semester Exam fees - 500-700 per semester Caution fees - 2000 per year Lab fees - 1000 per year At the end of this course completion, that is 5 years the fees would be around 2 lakhs with hostel, food and tuition fees, Hence it's is highly affordable This is for social sciences and humanities . Other science department also has a similar fees structure only..there might be some differences Scholarships: Merit cum means scholarship for students securing top 5 in semester exams will be awarded. The amount ranges from 2000 to 3000 per month .

We have white variety of festival celebrated here raining from various parts of India. Starting from Kanyakumari to Kashmir people of wide diversities are found in this college hence all festival are celebrated. January - Pongal Halloween Bathukamma Onam Ctural fest too

Room is usually three sharing, with two cupboard, 2 tables and 3 beds! The room is quite spacious too. Meal here is okay, not so good but it is worth the mess fees paid, sweets are also offered thrice in a week. Hostel fees for girls is 1000 and other amenities are only charged

The first reason I choose this college was it is very near to my home not new but rather than uploading to other colleges this is comparatively near. Next is the next is the rank of the college which is high it almost and third and it in the top national universities is 80 so that attracted me. I had certain seniors who told me that this universities very good for both UG and PG and especially for research and the curriculum here is good and that is one of the main reason that I choose

The faculty in sociology department is nearly 10. While the students are of 250 or so! Hence it is manageable but there are also many research scholars and guest faculty who have occasional classes for the students. I like our kinship and family faculty, mrs.Imtirenla longekmar.she is the most inspiring lady I ever look for ! She has a pleasent smile in her face, and has good knowledge that she fed us in class. She has been awarded the best teacher for 3 times during the teachers day celebration in Pondicherry University and she is very young looking even at her 40s. By the way she is from nagaland. The exams are quite hard but the number of failures is usually 3 or below only in a class of 28.

Gym is separate for both girls and boys, and we have a seperate trainer there. Library is air conditioned with knowledge of wide variety of books ! Cafeteria, night canteens and ponlait are common places of happiness for students.
