College is very good. Very good and dedicated students join this college .its the best college in India with respect to academics and placements.college provide world class manners and provide discipline to cadets as well as to faculties .

Btech marine engineering is a technical course Having all technical subjects on marine . In this course we have mechanics part 1 ,part 2 , mathematics marine Auxillary machines part 1 and 2 and machine designing and Ship operations etc. We also have different practical session for marine Auxillary machines , arc welding sessions and fittings sessions also.

Placements are good. Companies like maersk line,chevron , stena ,nyk come to company for recruitment of cadets. They give training for 1 year and after class 4 exam they get promoted to 4 th engineer . Recently 2 years the placements reduced to 50% which is expected to increase in future.

Our college organise inter house events like swimming , football, badminton , cricket, basketball and all athletic events like 100 m ,200 m long jump high jump . Our college also organise freshers for new joining cadets. Our college also organise Horizon ,a cultural fest once in a year.

Fees are very expensive . We have to give 16 lacs for entire 4 years which get increased to 18 lacs at the end of semester. We have to buy copies for rough, stationery by ourselves. And if we destroy anything the minimum amount we have to pay fine is 5000.

There are lot of scholarships available for tolani maritime institute. College gives scholarships for top 35 students in our branch. College also gives scholarships to financial weaker students like Vasant j Seth scholarship, merit cum means scholarships to cadets.

College have a very large workshop to accommodate 80 students in one section. College have lathe section , fitting section welding section with complete surveillance and with highly trained instructors. College provide wooden badminton court 25 m swimming pool and cricket nets for practice.

Hostel is Excellent with 2 cadets in 1 room. Each corridor have 20 bathrooms which means for every 10 cadets there are 3 bathrooms. We get clean water for drinking in hostels. The mess is in the hostel also which provide dietary food daily to cadets

Senior students are very helpful to juniors . At start they introduce about the college culture and rules to the juniors and they help each and every cadet in studies and in other problems. They also teach us how to apply in company and how to prepare for interview .

Faculties are very supportive . All faculties are either master or experienced seamen. They start from the basic level to the peak level. They also do extra session for doubts and weaker students.They also discuss the answers in the class after each exam.
