CUSAT

Campus lies at the heart of Kochi. All infrastructure facilities are ensured and great acess to city brings josh campus life. As a university campus large varieties of activities are involved. A great opportunity to interact with research scholors and scientists are possible. Cultural exchange from international and national students as well as international seminars and other activities are unique identity of CUSAT

Cusat offers 10 B.tech degree courses which includes fire and safety engineering, instrumentation, naval architecture and marine engineering. The curriculum of CUSAT is similar to IITs and NITs, tougher compared to other universities in kerala. Two semesters are completed in a academic year. There will be two internals and a university exam in one semester. Exams are well structured and conducted on a regular basis. Exam results are published before the university exams of processing semester.

School of engineering CUSAT topped in employability test conducted by MHRD in India. According to the study 74% of the students are employable. Many big brand companies visit the campus for recruitment. Large number of students are recruited from the campus alone. As a TEQUIP phase III institute, it provide large find and facilities for students who pursue internship and researches. Entrepreneurship is well promoted in the campus.

School of Engineering, CUSAT being a university college within university campus large varieties of programs and celebration take parts. As a part of Kerala, Onam is the first biggest celebration going to happen on the campus. Proceeding there is technical fest DHISHNA college cultural fest VIPANCHIKA and university cultural fest SARGAM. Apart from these programs, there will be department wise fests and twelve hostel fests. Celebrations in the CUSAT campus never ends.

CUSAT is an autonomous institution. For pursuing an engineering degree a sum of around 40,000 is waived as fees per semester. Students of Kerala has a subsidy of 50% fees. Students under categories SC, ST, OEC has a fee of 350 per semester.

SC, ST, OEC students have subsidies fees with free hostel and other facilities. There are no loans offered by universities. University offers student aid funds for students who have low financial backgrounds. SFI Alumni association also some scholarship 'Hridayapaksham' based on merit and means.

University provide huge facilities for extracurricular activities. A large ground, basket ball court, volleyball court, badminton court are provided. Judo, boxing, chess,table tennis etc are trained. University sports is a big event. A physical training centre works in the university. A lot of sports activities with well trained coaches are bolding the sports in university. Many teams participates in national level competetions. Well facilitated laboratories with sophisticated machines and instruments helps the students and research fellows to complete there studies.

Alumni network are not so strong but this differs in different branch. Everyone are helpful and promotes and helps in the programs conducted on the campus. Funds from different alumni associations are dispersed as scholorship.

The faculties of the college are well experienced and enthusiastic. Most of the faculties are part of researches and completed their studies and researches in prestigious institutions in India and abroad. School of engineering is an NBA tier 1 accredited institute, one among two from kerala, which points on the quality of faculties and of course the facilities.
