Life at PDEU

The course curriculum is really designed very greatly keeping in mind the theoritical and practical aspects of each subject along with the difficulty level. They also include topics with real world applications which help in future academic pursuits. There are mainly 2 exams in each semester namely mid semesters and end semester exams which are easy enough if you have a good knowledge about the subject.

There are many internship opportunities offered by the college which we get to know about through college emails. Different companies like wipro,TCS,Paypal offer internship opportunities with stipend depending on the roles.

Students become eligible for placements after the 6th semester itself. They could give interviews to the companies which visit our College. In their final year students can even acquire a great placement from the companies visiting our College for hiring students. The companies visiting are TCS,Paypal,JPMC,google and many more. The highest packages are obtained by petroleum engineering students beacause of the universities specialization in it. Also the average package ranges from 5-6 lpa but not 100% placement is achieved. Around 70-80% students get placed every year if we talk about all branches overall. My plan is to achieve a good placement from the college itself after my degree.

The yearly fees for my Btech Computer engineering course is 246000 INR which is tp be paid semester wise. Each semester fees is 123000 which includes 120000 tution fees and 3000 semester enrollment and exam fee. The fees increases every year by atleast 3000 for new batches. The year in which you entered the college and had paid the fees in the first year will be your all 4 year fee for the university and will remain constant. Talking about scholarships there are many goverment and college provided scholarships which include MYSY - ?55000 every year and Reliance Foundation UG scholarship - ?200000 per year

There are mainly two main fests held in the college. First is the technical fest named TESSERACT held in every October-November month of the year. The second is the social and cultural fest of our College named Flare which is held every April of the year. Besides these fests there are 3 libraries in our university which have more than 25000 books. Tue facilities and amenities in every classrooms and laboratories are top class. There is also a intercollege sport competition named Energy Cup organized every year in February by our College. There is also a dedicated sports complex of our College. There are 2 football grounds, 2 cricket grounds, 4 basketball courts, tennis court, kabbadi court, running tracks,etc everything available. There are more than 42 technical and cultural clubs run by the students for developing extra curricular talents.

I applied for more 3-4 colleges named DAIICT Gandhinagar and Nirma University besides PDEU but I didn't get a seat in those college due to my ACPC merit. Although I got a confirmed seat in PDEU through ACPC and also beside PDEU I was able to acquire seat in every private university but I preferred PDEU over others because of its reputation and placements and also the faculty experience and the culture.

The faculty to student ratio is really good. Every group of around 25 students here are given a respective faculty mentor who takes care of all these 25 students related to any difficulty in studying or any other university difficulties. Besides this the teaching faculties are really very approachable, they are ready to help anytime, and whatever amount of time they need to help. Aslo they play an important role in sharing their experience with students in making projects and stuff.

There are many gyms around the college. The cafeteria(mess) is 2 floored with TV facilities for entertainment along. There is also a dedicated cafe - Freezeland. Besides this there are many food shops behind the cafeteria for all junk and healthy food. There are many cafes around the college near kudasan Ane even near koba to hangout and it's a completely safe locality.
