Gati Shakti Vishwavidhyalaya: A true blend of speed and power of knowledge

The curriculum as the whole indian education system is focused more on memorisation rather than understanding. For me engineering was a dream course; to build something to work with machines to do research but more or less it is just like school where the more you memorise the excellent you seem to be. Exams are frequent they test memory and not knowledge. I think we should focus more on practical application then hour long reading of literature

Delhi Metro, Pune Metro, Indian Railways, DRMs, DRDO are some major internship provider along with some private companies. Normally we work as a trainee and learn everyday working of engineers and minute details that make a machine workable.

Placement is there and around 92-95% students get placed every year which is quite good in current economy. Highest package offered was 12LPA which is decent for aa college openend less than a decade ago. Average package is around 6LPA to 7LPA. There is no restrictions in semester in which a student can apply for placement but usually 3rd and 4th year students are the one applying. My plan after degree is higher studies in colleges like Monash etc

Yearly fees is around 272000 including mess and hostel accomodation. Extra fees are near to zero. Scholarships are there for financially weaker students but not based on reservation basis. Fees of the batchmates is same as ours and no such disparities is among branches but for aviation engineering the fees is covered by airbus.

There are many clubs in our college that are very active and are actively performing all sorts of fun and interesting activities for students. Our annual fest is Agnee that happens near October and Tech Fest is Epitome which is scheduled for March. Library is very big with all sorts of books with easy access along with the access for research papers. Sports fest is also here namely Aujasya. Students learn to communicate, bring sponsorship, to collab with bigger teams which is very nice experience.

Room is well facilitated with AC, Gysers, Fans, Lights and all. Mess food is decent if not very good. There is no separate process for registration for hostel and is included in fees itself. No idea about PGs

It was only railway college in India. Railway being the backbone of indian transport system had always fascinated me so I wanted to know more about it, with love for engineer getting both in same institute was dream come true. I didn't get rejected from any college in which I applied to, I was confirmed for DU, TISS, GBPIET. The admission in my college is based on JEE Mains score and one can apply through JOSSA. Cutoff varies according to the branch, for CS it can range upto 98 percentile.

Faculty is abundant an well distributed among all the branches. Student faculty relationship is very good, faculty is nice and sweet with all the students there is no bias for any regions or place. Best faculties according to me are Dr. Ram, Dr. Edwin and Dr. Hari. There is no faculty in general that I don't like they are all giving their best and appreciate their efforts. Exams range from moderate to extremely difficult but with enough preparation one can excel them easily

Night life is strict no one is allowed to leave hostel after 10:30 PM and usually students stay in there rooms before that canteens and garden is one of the most crowded place where students play antakshiri and other games and have fun. In college we have a palace named Prastuti which is such a beauty. Outside there is Laxmi Vilas Palace, Akota Bridge etc.
