Course Curriculum Overview
1. Study of virus and vaccines, leading molecular genetics techniques like CRISPR CAS9, tissue culture including 3d organ printing of liver, etc motivated me to join the course. 2. Curriculum is well-designed to cope with real-world situations and research paper reading is preferred. 3. areas of improvements include better time management for each module in syllabus , as we often ran out of time to complete it 4. exams like mid semester 1 and 2 are concluded , where one is written and another is mcq-based
Internships Opportunities
IN MY DEPARTMENT students are placed in COMPNIES LIKE Zydus, Intas, FISHFA, Adani, etc for internship of 1-2 months, there was no stipend. for 5 -6 month internship minimal stipend of 6k-8k was maybe provided by company. good support by SSIP grant to do innovative projects but they made the process very slow. not enough facilities in my department to carry out basic small research. equipments are very minimal.
Placement Experience
from semester 6th , placements drive is begun talking about my course , Biotechnology engineering , there was NO PLACEMENT DRIVES. But our hod will definetly help in getting great jobs according to your requirement. And help in GATE exam preparation is very minimal , so one shall prepare it by themselves.
Fees and Financial Aid
fees has increased to 52,500/- approximately. while in batch 2020-2024 the fees were 46,500/-. here we dont have to pay any extra fees for any basic facilty in campus. If we want to take account in book bank ( a scheme where a set of books are given accoring to syllabus and books are to be returned after semester ends) , we have to pay minimal amount charges. scholarship of 25000 is given to class toppers, other than that we have TFWS scheme.
Campus Life
festivals like RASOSTAV during navratri, ZEAL annual function, cekebration of independence day and republic day, sports day celebrations and competetion. there was no much facilitues and technological provision within classroom. there were clubs like music club, drama club , literature club, nature club, NSS etc. run BY FACULTIES NO FRESHERS PARTY OR CELEBRATION, Farewell is conducted with ZEAL so no seperate farewell is done, NO CONVOCATION AND CELEBRATION after graduation
Admission
i had taken admission through management quota. one can take admission through ACPC as well. eligibility depends upon the course. One should have good scores in 12th standard. There is importance of GUJCET exam score in admission process as well.
Faculty
the faculty to student ratio is optimum, in my batch it was 5 teachers: 5 students. in my department; the faculties are qualified but they lack teaching expertise. The head of department is really great and supportive , she has expertise in teaching and preparing students for exams like GATE BT. Talking about other faculties; there is no one who can we rely on completly for the completion of syllabus.
