What Students Say
Likes
- The campus life is great as the atmosphere it consquires is way better than the three experiences I have had at Maharaja sayaji rao university of vadodara, Vishwakarma government Engineering college and Parul University respectively. The atmosphere
- The atmosphere cultivates studying and friendly competition Between the peers,it doesn't quench that competitive Nature and rather it amplifies it, also the boy girl ratio is good.
- The faculties are the best, and it's not just me all the students feel that way as some faculty are from IITS and some are very experienced and have had decades of research experience in that field.
Dislikes
- I think here you focus a lot more on studies rather than extra curricular activities so I think that can be improved
- There are too many lectures in a day, conpared to my friends in svit I have around 2 hours worth more of lectures
- The wifi and connectivity and there being counsellors is stated but it not implemented intensively
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is kept up to date as the faculties themselves are engaged in various projects of their own, recently a very senior faculty discussed about their personal project on which he is assigned as an advisor and he discussed various aspects of the project with us, it's scale and maneuverability . So if the faculties are up to date and are actively working in the industry they would know what is going on on the industry so they can teach us as well about the same. Another faculty is working on a startup that they created themselves, it's about renewable resources so,yes the faculties keep the course relevant and comprehensiveness is increased with the various experiences they provide us with.
Internships Opportunities
Various internships are offered at the campus and some of them are: Reliance Atul L&T Etc The internships range from 2 months to 4 months and weekly reports are needed from the students regarding the internships. I don't have much knowledge about this topic
Placement Experience
The placement are one of the best in Gujarat for chemical engineering as the average package is on the higher side, at 6,50,000 and the highest package has reached 16,00,000. - students are eligible from the 7th semester for placement - some companies that have visited are Reliance Atul Bear L&T G.S.F.C Etc - around 70% of the batch was placed last year. - my plan is to prepare for Gate examination after/around my graduation.
Fees and Financial Aid
So basically there are two ways to get admission in my college: 1. Management quota 2. A.C.P.C Let's start with acpc , it's the common benchmark rank on the basis of which you get to select your college and course so, for this course there are two options one is G.I.A that is Grant in Aid and other is S.F. that is Self finance. In both M.Q. and S.F. you pay around ?1,80,000 per year and for G.I.A you pay around ?9,000 The SF fees increase every year by around 10% so keep that in account. Now there are 70 seats for sf and gia respectively so, for gia you have to score above a certain threshold for me it was above rank 5000 till round 2 of acpc. And for sf above 15000 rank you can apply.
Campus Life
- Felicific event is organised every year in the final week of February and it's a cultural festival of sorts with various fun events organised. - there are around 80,911 books available in our library - the classrooms of chemical engineering were recently revamped and were converted to smart classes with multiple A.C.s and smart board etc. -there is a sports club which organises various competitions throughout each month - I am part of Iiche club which creates some fun and technical events for the chemical engineering students.
Admission
I have already mentioned this previously but let me re iterate, my other option was maharaja sayaji Rao University of Vadodara. So when I couldn't make the acpc criteria for the same I opted for this college. My college is far better in faculties and facilities as it's a private college with an esteemed NAAC ranking of 150 in previous years.
Faculty
The faculties are one of the best and it's because some of them are from IITS and some are very experienced and have had decades of experience in the same field. And it's not just me everyone feels the same way. Now the for fee structure: Semester fees: ?86,000 For Self finance and M.Q. Semester fees:?4,500 For Grant in Aid There are various bench of credit and they differ for each subject. Generally for a subject you have three sessional in a semester of 36 marks each with 4 marks for attendance, 60 marks for external and some subjects have 40 marks for external and add 50 marks for subjects with practical so the overall marks can be counted from: 150 marks 100 marks 90 marks 40 marks 4.5 credit 4 credit 3 credit 1 credit
Night Life
- there is a gym in our campus which seriously needs to be renovated it is by far the most decrepit place on our campus -the college hours are till 5:30 then it closes after 7:00 pm The most famous spot for hanging out is cafeteria and outside college would be vaniyawad.
Other Applied Colleges
Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda - [MSU] | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Chemical Engineering)
I just didn't met the acpc criteria for this course in this specific college
