Likes
- Our auditorium is such good that even Vibrant Gujarat annual summit twice has taken place at our auditorium.
- Nearly 25% of the syllabus which is one fourth of our syllabus is taught by industry people.
- Each department has their blocks which are well facilitated.
Dislikes
- Location is little outer, however though metro station has been built right next to our university.
Course Curriculum Overview
Academics is amazing as course is set by industry experts as 25% of what we study is included by top corporate houses. So, how can we infuse tech over there is the main question and that is what we are taught. So, when you know what is taught is applied at the corporate, it makes academics that much interesting and easier.
Placement Experience
Reliance Industries, ONGC, GSHC, GNFC, and likewise many state owned PSUs are the ones that comes here for placements. The reason is that this university was built keeping in mind demands of state industries in demand. One can expect a paycheck or 10 lakh CTC from PDEU as most students are paid in that bracket.
Fees and Financial Aid
PDEU, Gandhinagar is one of the best private universities not just in Gujarat but in India. The fees is good as it commands just 2.5 lakhs a year for doing CSE. I think it's quite nominal as even IITs charges more than this.
Campus Life
Our fests I mean I am only taking main fests name. Our tech fest is names Tesseract. Every January we have our sports fest called Petro Cup and finally in April we have our annual social fest called Flare. Our university which is quite big is made like heaven and students of many nearby colleges and universities are also invited.
Admission
I tried my best that I may get IIT Delhi but sadly i couldn't and getting admissions into the new built IITs, I felt PDEU is better. Firstly it's my hometown and secondly it is as reputed as any other college or university. University has its own entrance test and that is followed by a compulsory PI round.
Faculty
Faculties are easy to say that they are best but just imagine our university having tieups with top corporate houses such as Reliance Industries Ltd and ONGC, will not deal if the faculties are not top class. Ratio is square as one faculty per every four member. Mrs Anjana Chandak is my favourite faculty for sure.
Interview Experience
We don't have a particular GD round but a PI round. After the students of entrance are shortlisted they are called for a round of personal interview. It has to be cleared as smart people take that interview and if we lag anywhere, rejection on the card.
Night Life
PDEU, Gandhinagar is surrounded full of cafes. We have atleast 30 odd cafes close to our university and all are operational till 2-3 am. From tea coffee to complete meal one can expect anything from those cafes.
