Likes
- The campus area is large clean and green, and there is a lot of space to sit and chill.
- tobacco and smoking is banned. That's why the campus is fresh and refreshing.
- The cafeteria area of pdeu campus is also large , which can fit a huge amount of student at once. The food quality is also very nice.
Dislikes
- I didn't like the 80% mandatory attendance criteria, because it is impossible to maintain 80% attendance.
- Almost everyday, there Is some event or function by the clubs of the college , which makes it hard to focus on academic.
Course Curriculum Overview
The subjects in 1st semester were: Applied physics, mathematics 1 , computer programming 1, EVS ,Indian knowledge system, universal human values, and english communication. Which are all relevant to ict directly or indirectly.
Internships Opportunities
I am currently in first year. But I have heared that we will get an internship opportunity at the end of second semester. And also there will be an internship in the fourth year along with a major project.
Placement Experience
The placements of pdeu are good , but not as good as compared to Nirma University and daiict . The average package of computer science is around 15 lpa and highest is 38 lpa. I think if you have a cgpa over 8.5 and have the skill that is required by the recruiter Company, there is a better chance of you getting a placement. This year , around 40 students out of 120 got placed in good companies.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees per sem is 127500. The tution fees is 124500 and 3000 for exam and registration. At the time of admission, or the 1st sem fees, it is 140500 , the remaining 13000 will be refunded at the end of the programme.
Campus Life
My overall campus life till now is wonderful. I met a lot of good and skilled people here made a lot of friends and right now enjoying my college life. I didn't take part in the clubs because then you will have to attend each event the club organises, for which you will have to compromise with academics . So I often take part in club events but had not joined a club till now.
Admission
I chose PDEU over Nirma University, because I didn't get allotment in the branch i wanted in Nirma University. Aside form placements , PDEU is better than Nirma in every way , the campus , the classrooms , the faculty members, the facilities and the ITAdmin are all better.
Faculty
The faculty members are really good. The faculties are friendly and always encourage us to study. There are extra tutorial lectures in which we could ask doubts. No matter how many time we ask doubts,the teachers are ready to help us. The best faculty I have seen till now are dr. Nigam dave (Dean of Sls) who taught us professional communication and Ishita hundia who taught us organizational behaviour. Their teaching style was different and entertaining. There are no faculty that I didn't like. Each faculty in sem 1 as well as in sem 2 are excellent in teaching. Exams: there are 2 major exams in a semester. mid and end semester. The mid sem are 25 marks and end sem is 100 marks. The final result is calculated out of 100 in which 25 marks form mid sem and 50 are from endsem(half of what you get in end sem) and te remaining 25 marks are given by the course faculty, who might take an internal assessment or a quiz or an assignment.
Night Life
Our favourite hang out spot is the c block gazebo. The gazebo that is at the end os the c block is really nice and peaceful place for us to hang out. Another peaceful place is the sports complex , where we play cless and eat lunch often.
