Pandit Deendayal Energy University's College Review

Our course curriculum is somewhat good as there are subjects such as computer which c programming DSA ( Data structure and algorithm ) , Maths , Physics this are the subjects which are helpful for us in the future . But there are some subjects such as IKS ( Indian knowledge systems ) , EVS ( Environment Science ) , UHV ( Universal Human Values ) , Chemistry etc.. which are not helpful for the students of computer science still this types of subjects are there in our course curriculum which i dont like . Because this subjects are helpful to the students of arts not for us, we have chose compuyer science for learning computer base programming not this type of subjects this all are waste of time. This all subjects will come in semester 1 or in semester 2 . Yes but rest all subjects such as computer , maths all are good. Teaching methods is also good but some improvement may be taken such as if we are computer science students then we should get more computer labs , but there is only one lab which is of 2 hour. And yes the hours of the college are such that college is regularly from monday to friday, and there is holiday on saturday and sunday. The timing of exams is such that after one month of semester starts there is IA 1 ( Interna Assesment 1) and after that in 2 to 3 weeks there is mid semester exam of 25 marks which two paper in a day. so that it completes in short time which is good, after that again in 1 month or 1.5 month there is again IA 2 ( Internal Assesmet 2 ) after that there is End semester examination of 100 marks one paper each day. And also there is the criteria of 80 percentage of attendance compulsary to each and every student, if it is not fulfilled than the particular student will not be able to sit in the examination hall. The difficulty level of the exams is such that Mid semester is medium level difficult , IAs are difficult and End semester exams are on average not easy not difficult on medium level.

There are so many internship opportunities with pdeu college such as Summer Internships SOT students are required to go under 6 to 8 weeks of indutrial training during summer vacation period of the 3rd year of there btech programme . Those students who are good in designing , programming , maintainance , services , etc.. they refer to different companies for there work if some company approaches to the student than the student go for that internship and earn good amount off money . Some name of the companies such as TCS ( TATA consultant services ) , Michrome , Reliance etc.. like companies reach out to the student who want to do work for them . Reliance and TATA companies continue giving chance to the students of PDEU to make there carear best. Some of the students who are hardworker have started there internship in there 1st year itself. During 1st year students also join with NGOs to do work and take some experiance .There are different internships for different departments such that SLS has corporate internship . Some of the companies such as INFOSYS have offered a role under internship with stipend of designing web for them, designing app , game etc.. SLS has corporate internship some names of the students with there projects and outcomes are Aditya Mehta Interned at INTAS pharmaseutacle limited , Ahmedabad , another name Roopkatha sarkar at ONGC ahmedabad , Students of BTech Petroleum engineering do Rural Internship in there free time , students of computer science do internship online for the industry like TCS , Reliance by using there programming language they have learned in college. Some popular internship programmes such as industry orientation , urban renewable mission internship, community development,corporate internship, ruler internships , are been worked on by the pdeu students . So this all were the internship programme which are running by the students of the SOT , SLS department of PDEU.

The placement in by branch are good enough in last year 2024 a student got package of nearly 42 lakh per year from computer branch. The average package in computer branch is nearly 10 to 12 LPA . Different companies visits our college to give placement to the students. The major companies ask about the students who have 8 + CGPA . Students become eligible from the 7th semester itself for campus placements. The collge gives perfect data of the student who are placed in different different companies.in year 2023 88% of the students were succcessufully placed in companies.Including all branches average package was of 7 LPA but for computer science students the average package was 10 to 12 LPA.In petrochemical branches the highest package was 24 LPA . and average package was nearly about 6.5LPA.The IT companies such as Google , Microsoft, Reliance , TATA visiits the college to give placement to the students of computer science.The total of 550 +students got the offer from various companies from all branches of btech and nearly 175 companies visited to the campus of the collegeAfter i get the degree the college pdeu i wil do the job for 2 to 3 years in some good companies after that my plan is to do startup means i want to start my buissness such as making an app , etc.. In PDEU the number of students getting placed are good enough even students getting good offcampus packages than oncampus becaus the student become capable of doing work or finding good work. There are some of the students not getting the jobs on campus they try offcampus and thy get the job.

In Btech the fee per semester is different for All India , Gujarat State category and NRI , NRI Sponsored such that i had taken admission through All India category and paid total fees of 1,40,500 ( one lakh fourty thousand five hundred ) for first semester which includes 13,000 ( thirteen thousand ) of deposit which is refundable afterwords It includes 3000 ( three thousand ) for library deposit and 10,000 ( ten thousand ) for security deposit. And also it has tution fees of 1,24,500 ( one lakh twentyfour thousand five hundred ) and University enrolment fees of 3000 ( three thousand ) which is same for both the semester (1 and 2 ) . So It makes the total of 2,68,000 ( two lakh sixtyeight thousand ) academic fee per year in which 13,000 ( thirteen thousand ) of fees is refundable. So this was all over academic fee it has separate hostel fascility whose fees for a year is 1,53,000 ( one lakh fiftythree thousand ). The fees for NRIs or NRI sposored is such that $3,500 , rupees 3000 for University Enrollment fees and rupees13,000 as deposit. Here some of the students have got admission through TFWS scheme. Also the university provides scholarships such as if student have ranked top in class in end semester than he will be provided by the scholarship. Also there are various types of scholarships such as Reliance, HDFC bank, etc.. , university shares information with the students regularly if they comes or if the students are eligible for that. The academic fees as well as hostel fee increases sometimes. There are different fees structure for different degrees or courses.

The campus of PDEu is spread more than 100 acres of land,m it includes different sports ground for cricket , football , basketball, badminton , volleyball, etc. Even the college has made separate sports complex to encourage the studentas towards the sports. The campus of PDEU is full green , there is greenary here and there where we see there is greenary , there is separate canteen for students, etc.. During festivals college organize events such as during Navratri there is programme name RANGTAAL , Even during MAKARSANKRANTI there is programme called called KAI PO CHE , different fifferent programmes such as DJ night , Fairs are organized by the different different clubs during august and september. There is a sports programme called ENERGY CUP whicj held in the month of February, different different games competetion like cricket , chess , basketball , volleyball , football etc... Even the university is having olympics type rac tracks from which students can do practice.There are different different groups like S&T ( Science and technical comittie ) , Anirveda , Network PDEu etc.. there are different types of groups , they organize various programmes for students . there are 2 big libraries in the campus of PDEU one is in the D block and another is in the F block , there are diferent types of books in the library such that they are helpful for students to improvr themselves. Books like Biography of great people like Elon musk , Mahatma gandhi , APJ Abdulkalam etc.. , study related books , story books etc... are there in the library of the PDEU. Each and every classrooms have one projector , whiteboard, AC , Fans , lights etc.. All classrooms are good, some of the benches are broken but still they are good they have repaired that benches.

Details of Hostel fascility of the college PDEU ( Pandit Deendayal Energy University ) is too good . there is a 2 sharing rooms for the students of 1st and 2nd year that hostel is called UG Hostel and there is another hostel for the students of 3rd year as well as for the students of the 4th year that hostel has attached washrooms and it is nearly 3 to 4 sharing room . There is no attached washroom fascility in UG hostel. The fascilities provided in the room of UG Hostel is Study table , Study lamp , AC , WIfi , fan , light , two beds because it is 2 sharing room , and also there is a gym in the ug boys hostel, In High rise hostel there is an AC , fan , studytable , balcony , atttached washroom , etc... in highrise hostel the mess is downstair to the hostel but for UG hostel the mess is inside the campus of the college. Reviewing the meal quality of mess is 9 out of 10 , the quality of the food of mess is goon , the menu includes 2 time breakfast , lunch and dinner. Menu has in morning Tea , milk , coffe , breadbutter, breadjam, and everyday different one product such as aloo paratha , dal pakwan , etc.. at afternoon lunch there is daal , bhaat , khichdi , roti , kadhi regularly and sabji changes , night everyday different menu like pau bhaji , chole puri etc... Registration process is such that you have to register when you are applying for college , you have to say yes or no for hostel accomodation . Fees is nearly 153000 for hostel someone can afford someone can not. As i have not rented any pg or a rented room near locality , some names if you want to rent pg or room are JMD boys hostel , August hostel , Darsh hostel , Geeta residency . These are the names of the pgs near the campus of the pdeu college. The hostel fascility of the college is too good it depend on affordability it is somewhat expensive but good. water coming regularly , no cut in light , always security guard on the gate of hostel.

As i was wanting the branch related to computer , the college i choosed were NIRMA University , PDEU ( Pandit Deendayal energy university ) , LD college , DDU ( Dharamshin desai university ) and DAIICT (Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of information and communication technology ) . Because this are the best college for doing engineering and btech in computer science in Gujarat. i chosed PDEU ( Pandit Deendayal Energy University ) because i had got 95 PR in Jee mains i was not getting admission in Computer related braches in Nirma and DAIICT , rest some of the branches i was getting in NIRMA such as mechanical etch.. but i was not intrested i that branch , but i was getting computer related branch in PDEU ( Pandit DEendayal Energy University ) , DDU ( Dharamsinh Desai University ) , LD college but i had choosed PDEU because it is very good college , the packages of PDEU are good and the campus of PDEU is also big and good that's why i had choosen this college. Comparing to DDU and LD the packages of PDEU are good , The campus of PDEU is too much good thn other , and also i had listened that the faculties of PDEU college are even better than Nirma university , faculties of PDEU are too much helpful to the students and also there is hostel fascility in PDEU which is not there in Nirma University, You can get admission in Btech in PDEU by giving JEE mains , and through boards ( state or cbse). There are 67% seats available from JEE quota and rest from ACPC 33% which comes by giving Board Exams. Admission process is such that firstly you have to register from college website than verification will happen , after that you have to complete application process by filling form you have to upload the required documents , after that the college will declare the merit list if you are shortlisted in the branch you want than you have to acccept the offer and you have to pay the fees.

The faculty in the college are well experianced and have good experiance with respect to their fields . They are very much helpful to the students as they give good motivation to the student , they give carrer guidance to the students that what the particular student want to do in future and also asks about are they facing any difficulty in particular subjects or not. They explains each topic very much effectively because if there is a student of computer engineering then he should have the knowledge of different types of language such as c , c++ , java , python etc.. there are faculty respected to the language some are good in c , some are good in java , some are good in python so if the student is facing any difficulty then he can directly call to him or message to him at any time. Course Structure is such that it has 4 years so 8 semesters. Each semester have midsem examination of 25 marks , IA ( Internal Assesment ) of 25 marks whicch includes projects , assignment , viva etc... , and end sem of 100 marks from that fifty percentage of marks will be taken out. So 25 marks of mid sem , 25 of IA , and 50 marks of end sem so total of 100 marks will happen from this your cgpa will be descided. The examination papers are set by the faculty itself and also checked fy the faculty itself so there is the less chance of error in the paper or marks. At the end of the semester the student is provided by the result and cgpa he have scored till now including all semester. There are different different faculties assigned for each class so that they can concentrate on particular class perfectly . The The exams level is midium to high depending on subject. Some of the students fail in the examination. The faculty i likes the most is the Himansu Gajera sir they have tought us the c language and they are very much helpful to the each and every students, solves every doubt . There are no teacher i dislike because all are good and helpful in some or other way.

In the hostel there is a gym which take charge of 500 rupees if anyone want to join and takes nearly 3000 rupees if he want personal trainer for the gym exercises. There is the huge cafetaria inside the capus where the boys and girls both togeteher came for lunch, dinner , breakfast . There are two libraries inside the campus. Public area is such that there are two different hostel for boys as well as girls so public place is itself the campus. it closes nearly at 10 to 10:30 PM. Hostel timing is such that a student should enter in the hostel before 10:30Pm at night otherwise no entry for student, Campus in timing starts from 5:00 Am to 10:30PM. famous hangout places inside the capus is sports complex , outside the campus is near the august hostel best place to hangout with friends. Yes the locality is safe to roam both for girls as well as for boys because there is peace outside the campus. Nightlife is best in hostel.
