Tolani Maritime Institute: Life of marine cadets

The course is well designed for a marine engineering institute. It teaches us all the machinary we will see on board ships and ports. It also teaches us various procedures necessary in marine life like bunkering,lifeboard maintenance etc. I feel it will be very helpful in real world applications as it is taught directly by ex marine officer's like vaptains and cheif engineers. Tho8gh some extra theoretical stuff like constitution of india which is not necessary should be removed. There is an exam after every 2 months on a average which are of moderate difficulty

Internship is given by various top companies in our college like Scorpio, Chevron, British Petrolium, Nyk which take on board and other cimpanies which do come do not take on board ship we are to complete internship by paying the college in the in campus ship.

In tolani maritime institute students start getting placed right from semester one. For placement eligibility a student shoukd have zero backs and even if they have back they can still get placed on the condition they clear it within the course duration. In my course about 85 percent students get placed from campus placement with a avg pakage of 700000 in start after first promotion it can go upto 2400000 per annum. After the degree i plan to pursue the same profession.

In our college there many sports event like cross country , Football, Basketball, squash and other racket games in which there is a overalls house winner decided based on points the house wins, we also have a cultural event known as horizon which involves various singing dancing modeling dj night and other activities which also have an overall house winner. We also have freshers event which involves various plays music dj night etc by seniors. The lrc is upto date for our courses. The college provide every necessary things and facilities for all the clubs. The college offers over 30 sports facilities and 25+ clubs which is all included in our fees. The college also have club JIGYASA which i am part of which is a type of ngo run by students which teaches poor children

As for me i didn't apply for any other colleges expect this because it is the best college in india with the highest placement rate. The min. Acceptance criteria is 60 percent in cbse pcm and overall placement is good.

The faculties are all well educated and highly experienced. The faculty to stident ratio is also great given that we have a separate faculty for all subjects. The faculties are very approachable and are available at any time. I personally like Sagarmala sir as he is a very educated person and completes every example in class itself and as for the faculty i don't like is GI sir as he is abusive when talking. There are approx 8 subjects in each sem and 4 practicals. The exam are moderate in difficulty though the checking is very bad more than 30 percent cadets fail in them.

The college have a 3 gyms in campus itself 1 in hostel 2 1 in clubhouse and one in girls wing, it also has a library (lrc) , 2 cafes and grocery store in campus itself. As for the locality its inside a village so its not recommended to roam around outside college at night and also we are not allowed to leave hostel after 8:30 pm
