Course Curriculum Overview
There is a committee meeting every 4 years to revise the syllabus for each stream involving all the stakeholders including the children . This keeps the syllabus very relevant and up to date. I chose this stream since semiconductors are used highly in all AI models which will make the demand go up . This is considered one of the harder branches due to the complexity of the subjects
Internships Opportunities
Companies come for internships starting from 5 sem. This time companies like UBER had come giving a stipend of 150000 per month . They take their own exams after which there are thorough interview rounds. But not a lot of students get these offers.
Placement Experience
Students became eligible for placement from their 7th sem. A lot of companies come for campus placements and internships. Many students are hired but the packages may not be that high. Highest packages are around 40-50 lakhs with the mean being around 10lakh. I plan to do freelancing in IOS dev space after getting my degree
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
The fees for first year btech is the same for every student at around 3 lakh 70 thousand. From second year onwards the fees is dependent on the pursued branch for example, fees for ECE is around 5 lakhs and for it is the same for computer science branches. For streams like Civil it is slightly lower than that. There are certain scholarships:- 1) For people with annual house income less than 8lakhs p.a the fees is about 1lakh 90 thousand each year 2) For students who received good rank in the MET exam they are provided with full tuition fees off given they maintain 8.5 CGPA
Campus Life
The annual fest is called REVELS and it is lined with a lot of celebrities like Mohit Chauhan, krsna, Javed Ali and a lot others. It lasts for about 4 days with a lot of stalls and games. The technical fest is called tech Tatva which also has prominent guest speakers like Aman Gupta , Finance with Sharan , and a lot of shows as well. There are multiple student projects and student clubs which people can join . The clubs offer a relaxed atmosphere to have fun while the student projects help improve students the CV
Admission
1) The other college I applied to was VIT. I choose this over VIT since the intake was less in MIT giving an over all better student life . 2) I got rejected from DTU due to low marks in JEE Mains. My preparation was subpar and I could not make it. 3)The admission in MIT is very easy, they take their own entrance exam called MET which is far easier than the JEE exam. Students with low marks also can get certain streams .
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is around 1:15 which is pretty good. The subjects in each semester are graded out of 100 marks , 50 marks for internals and 50 marks for endsem paper. The 50 in internals is further divided in a 30 mark endsem and 20 mark assignments . The level of the questions is not difficult given a student studies atleast for a couple of days before the exams. The faculty is also very helpful and easily approachable
