Course Curriculum Overview
As I was interested in instrumentation I took Electronic and instrumentation. The faculty student ratio is quite nice and the professors are very cooperative they clear every doubts .the professors are very qualified many of them are from IITs and NITs.They frequently conduct term exam every 2 months and the exams are not that difficult to pass .
Internships Opportunities
Different companies like Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, etc come every year to offer summer and winter internships to students. Student projects like Formula Manipal, Team Manipal racing, Thrust MIT,etc offer industry based expirence to students in college only.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester. A lot of companies like Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, etc come for campus placements. The highest package offered this year was 55lakh and the average package for my branch is 10lakhs. This year a total of 92.9% students got placed. I plan on sitting for campus placements and getting a good package.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is a little high as MIT is a private college. It is around 14lakhs for four years for my branch. Scholarship is offered to meritorious students only for example for students ranked 1-100 there is 100% off on tution fees and for rank 101-5000 there is 20% off on tution fees.
Campus Life
Revels is our annual fest which happens in March and Techtatva is our techfest which happens in October. We have a world class library here at MIT which is around 4 floors and has all the books needed for studies. Classrooms are fully furnished and have centralised air conditioning and projectors. Many sports activities are conducted throughout the year like football, basketball, athletics, etc.
Hostel Facilities
When we first came to the hostel we were provided with amenities like a almirah, study table, chair, umbrella, bucket, mug, toiletries. We have our mess just adjacent to my hostel and it has above average food although the menu is a bit repetitive every week you get bored of the food after a month or so. Registration for hostels started just after councelling through a online portal on the site of MIT. Total fees for hostel for an year is 1lakh for a double non AC room.
Admission
The admission process was quite smooth.there was an entrance exam we had to attend called MET where they gave us 2 attempts to write the exam.to fill the application form you need to visit it's official website and as it is a private college there is no reservation it is soly based on merit.
