Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose this course because I like plants and trees very much. I like to study about them and their uses. You will get knowledge about plants, their evolution function etc, and many real world applications like measuring soil nutrition, pH level and mushroom production are also available. There no need to improve teaching methods because we are getting smart claases, experienced faculty and scholars.in every year there is 2 semesters each of 6 months. Per subject there are 3 exams 2 internal and 1 end semester. In the starting of semester first internal is taken within 2 months and second in other 2 month and for end sem we get 2 months more to prepare so frequency is good and not much difficult to prepare for all exams in every 2 month

Internships Opportunities

2

As of now none of my friends and batchmates got any internship.also this course is not professional course so we can't get any offerings directly from any companies. sometimes we get courses from IITs and other institutions then they can help us to get internships

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is semester wise.when I was taking admission 7050 Rupees was admission + caution money. Then in second semester 4500 is fees for second semester.so on an average 11000 is average fees per year.Fees for all categories is same. Scholarship is also available for sc/st/obc students which cover almost all the fees(chattisgarh post matric scholarship program) and also central scholarship program is also available but for some reason we didn't get any information about that.

Campus Life

4

There are lots of fest and events organised but they are not fixed so I cannot say anything about this.in central library lots of books are available and you can issue them for 15 days free of cost. After 15 days you have to pay 1 rs per day for any book you issued. There are lots of unofficial and official social groups are available( can't mention name sorry). If you are interested in dance or music there is clubs like abhinartan and tarang which is official clubs of ggv.

Admission

I only applied for this collage because this is one and only central university in Chattisgarh. I also didn't apply for any other courses, only applied for botany and got it. You can get admission in GGU by CUET UG/PG exams and VRET for PhD . I am UG student so I will explain about ug course. Eligibility is minimum 55% in 12th and Appeared for cuet( if there is vacan seats in any courses after 3rd round of counseling than cuet is not mandatory you can get admission with your 12th percentage). cutoff is low to moderate in 2023 - 155 for ur 117 for OBC and 63 for sc/st

Faculty

4

Most of the faculties are very friendly and you can talk to them without any hesitation due to their nature but some are very strict and be careful with them.In my first semester Dr. Narendra Kumar sir is our class teacher/mentor , and he is one of the best in our department (Botany). There is no faculties which I didn't like. There are 3 exams per subject, 2 of them are internal ( 15 marks each) and one end semester of 75 marks.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum of anthropology is very much connected to our human lives which I like to know more about and which influenced me choose this as my graduation course. We study biological , social and cultural, archaeological, and linguistic aspects of humans and thus do a holistic study of human which is very interesting. The toughness exams are of medium level The frequency and timing of exams is good like in every month we have internals and then after a month we have semester exams . So it's good that we are connected to studies and passing exams becomes easy.

I choosed Bachelor of Science in Mathematics as I am from Mathematics Background. I studied in first shift from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM. As exam is concerned there is no headache of passing exam because it's an autonomous college so the college easily passed almost all the students. The faculty were teaching well but it needs to improve in their quality of teaching.
