Likes
- The campus was good environmentally, I mean the greenary and ponds and even a lake and some wildlife
- The cultural groups were a lot and amazing too
- The size of campus was huge around 800 acres
Dislikes
- The Faculties, they were just there, most of them from Quota No Merit
- No support from Placement cells in terms of opportunities
- The infrastructure is in a sad state, the funding is a lot but goes to deep pockets
Course Curriculum Overview
The course was outdated, no use in modern world or very less, the only modern subjects were Artificial intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Cybersecurity, apart from them all were outdated, the teachers are still living in early 2000s, lap componentss are outdated too, exams were once every two months
Placement Experience
From 7th semester we can sit in interviews but the companies are far too less, like in last year only 6 companies came to campus at all, with an average package of ?3,00,000 and about 15 students got placed from Entire BTech, like 15 out of 500 students that too for sales roles
Fees and Financial Aid
I paid around ?15000 per semester so about ?30000 per year including exam fees and all, I was from general category hence no scholarships, i guess the deduction was about 50% for SC/ST category students. Bihar government also provide scholarships in terms of loans so a lot of students had that too.
Campus Life
My school Annual Functions used to be better, There is Aksh for the entire College, A Namo festival for non technical departments and Equilibrio for Technical Departments, the alloted budgets used to be good but designated faculties only focused on filling their own pockets library facilities were good actually, sports are pathetic, and student run groups are good too
Admission
I applied for about 70 colleges in JOSSA, I got SLIET Longowal in Punjab but I was getting mechanical there hence I chose Guru Ghasidas University and here I got Information Technology, the only basis of admission is JEE rank, no PI or tests
Faculty
About 1:50, faculties were always short, So they filled in positions using local reserved category teachers who also studied from same college and same Departments, Akansha Gupta was the One I hated as she only gave good marks to students who licked her boots, the exams were easy, most of the teachers tells the questions beforehand to their favorites students.
Night Life
Well it's situated outside the city in a village, even though locals have made a shit tons of hostels there yet the limelight is missing, no modern infrastructure, a gym is there but I'd rather not go in there, there is one canteen and one cafeteria, locality is not safe especially for girls, lots of crimes by locals
