Remarks

The other college are IIHM KOLKATA and I have got the college but family not supporting. The admission process is very easy first of you are coming in the jee mains and the second is college entrance exam you have pass the exam then you have got the admission

Course Curriculum Overview

The teaching method of gh faculty is not good. The teacher are teaching in the classroom but the student mood are sleepy. The timing of during of exam are very difficult are more students are in pressure

Placement Experience

The 8th semester are eligible for the campus placement. The highest placement is 6lack and the average are 4 lacks. The many companies visit in our college just like Amul etc. 50% students are got the placement out of 100%

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees is 70000 the all things are included in this fees just like tution fee, admission fees, lab fees, registration fees, etc. There are no any scholarship in this college and no any financial aid ar available for students

Campus Life

The annual fest is first Techaracy, second is Ecstacy, and general freshers. And the books are in library are more than 5 lacks + the sport are extra activities are available in the campus cricket volleyball football etc

Hostel Facilities

Tur meal quality is very bad. The faculty of the hostel are good. The locality PG are good for the hostel. PG food is not very good but good in the compare of hostel mess food. The hostel menu is also bad.

Hostel Fee: INR 35000 per year

Faculty

No any faculty are favourite. And the relationship of facilities and students are only just a student and teachers no more . There are 2 exam in one semester and both exam are hard the passing students are 40% out of 100%

Placements are not really good in our college, it is more of a research institute so it mainly focuses on PhD as PhD strength is good. Higher education is more prefered here but placement scenario is also good

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant and is different for different branches according to their needs. I was interested in civil engineering and chose the course and find the curriculum intersting and relevant for me . The curriculum offers subject which are important for real world applications, like in civil engineering it's offers subjects like building construction, solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, material testing, serving, etc. The course curriculum is very good but the teaching methods needs improvement like more digitalization . The exams frequency and timings are neither too late nor too early, they are perfectly planned and executed.

Digboi college and my experience through it .

Course Curriculum Overview:

There exists a good teaching staff that's why the course is very easy to understand also teachers give us good examples also do practicals so that's students understand the course easily . I see that there exist a low no of equipments in practical lab compare to it's students ratio so if they have a good no of equipments then all students get equipment to do experiment without any waste of time . Time is good as compare to marks and the first 30 marks are beginner level the other 40 marks are intermediate level and the remaining 30 Marks are advanced level questions in a question paper for the students they published.

I choosed because my CEE marks which was 92 at that time was not enough to get admission in govt engineering colleges and the OBC cut off was 120+. So, in Whole northeast Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Management and Technology is the no 1 and the oldest private engineering college and I decided to take admission there.

The placement scenario is quite good, with several reputed companies like General Electric, Power Grid Corporation of India, Goldman Sachs, among others recruiting 94 percent of the students in the college. The placement takes place in three rounds, one testing one's aptitude, followed by an hour round, finally leading on to a technical round. Mock interview and job cracking sessions are organized regularly, both by the departments, and also the Training and Placement Cell, to prepare students for the interviews and examinations going forward. The Training and Placement Cell also provides internship opportunities at the end of third year for the students, based on their aptitude and abilities

Distance is the only issue.

Remarks:

I have mostly positive remarks about college except for the fact that the college is situated really far from mainstream north India. Train connectivity is not that strong to rest of country. But despite that the college is extremely good in the sense of learning, meeting new innovative minds, and of course placements and jobs.

CIT KOKRAJHAR reviewed

Other colleges I applied were NEHU and Tezpur University.I got IT branch in NEHU and Mechanical in Tezpur and CSE in CIT kokrajhar.I preferred CIT because the CSE branch is what I wanted from the beginning.Even though it's infra level is less than Tezpur University,but I didn't wanted to waste time in other branch rather than CSE .CIT compared to NEHU had better chances for CSE students....Read More
