UBKV:College of Agriculture,Majhian

Whole world depends on agriculture. It is actually a practical dependent subject.Facility is good in our university at all. In an year, 4 exams ie 2 mid and 2 end terms happens but difficulty level is easy to medium.

In our 7th semester, RAWE programme happens that is a 3 month long internship programme.students are divided in several groups and have to collect data from farmers through village survey. Stripend is Rs 6000/month

Students eligible for campus placement only after course completion. But very few students opt for it and it is very less in terms of package.my plan is higher studues after getting degree.Package is around 4-6 Lahks per annum

Total fee per year is only Rs.10,000 and university merit scholarship is given to 60% students @1080Rs/semester basis.Fee structure is same for students of all categories ie no benefit or concession for SC/ST students.University merit schorlarship only given to those who're not eligible for any other scholarship.

All type of festivals we celebrate in our college ie Saraswati Puja etc. College social also occur once in an year.All books related to our course and ICAR JRF exam is available in our library.Annual cultural and sports occur and students also take part in All India level competitions. No such student groups but for social works, NSS is there

Almirah, chair, table etc is provided. In Majhian campus hostel is a very pleasant one. Wifi facility is there and cost is only 1200 per year so its easily affordable. We've to apply for hostel.Meal quality is not up to the mark and its the major concerning factor

I also applied to Bidhan Chandra Krishi Vishwavidyalaya but didn't get a chance.Students with a higher mark only get chance to that university. In our UBKV, Students much get higher mark in Higher Secondary examination specially in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Faculty memebers are very helpful.In a single semester,we have to study around 11 subjects. Specific midterm and endterm system is there.Exam System is very long ie 2 months in a semester covered in exams only.But the subjects are very easy.
