Our college is ragging free and our seniors help us a lot
Clubs are best part of our college we get to learn a lot from them
And if we talk about pec we have to say their fest is too good

Dislikes

As B.des is new branch we don’t have enough seniors to mentor us
Infrastructure of college could have been better
We have very few faculty dedicated to design a lot of faculties is of engineering only

Course Curriculum Overview

We have good curriculum based on Bdes curriculum of IITs, DTU and IIIT but it could have been better if they would have added some elective subjects. Their are elective subjects in third year only for students who don't get internships. As designs is new branch in our college I am sure it will improve over tym

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fees of 1 sem is approx 1 lakh so yearly it would be approx 2 lakh. If you opt for hostel 83000 is hostel fees and you have to pay separate mess fee 3500 per month. I don't know about any scholarships or financial aid.

Campus Life

Campus area of our college is 149 acres which is a decent area for a college. As our college is old infrastructure is not excellent but yes we have decent infrastructure with a lot of greenery. And clubs are the best part of our college we have dance and drama club, Aerospace club, A lot of technological clubs and many more

Admission

The placement of our college is good. Students are placed in a lot of fields and as a 100 year old college our allumini network is also strong. A lot of good companies like Microsoft, JPmorgan , Amazon visit our college.

Faculty

I first semester we got only 2 faculty who were from design background and they both are too good and few of our professors are from engineering background who don't even know how a designer work so it bother us as we feel a bit demotivated their. But yes they all are good and helpful if we approach them they willingly help us

An Average Chitkara Life

Placement Experience:

From my knowledge I guess from 2nd semester the students are eligible for placements and there are multiple companies visited and made offers as well even in Chitkara on daily basis companies comes such as Aditya birla group and wipro and many more umm 825000 is highest in my knowledge and percentage of students getting placement would be 100 out of 60 most probably and plans after getting degree is to study further and doing masters from abroad

Placements are good from the university. It has good connections which help the student to take up job in their top dream firms. Internships too are provided so as to probide the students with a good experience

Placement Experience:

From 4 year we are ready for placement but some people choose to do thesis and some choose internship . Many companies came to out college like live space n more. I guess the average will be 6-7lakh in starting . And 40% got placement from this college . If their is no campus placement we can go through linkedin and many more.

Course Curriculum Overview:

User experience course is very good. This course have high scope in abroad. You can start freelancing with this course.course is difficult but if you do with full mindset you can do anything. But others collages are good for this course

From my personal experience I believe the course was really basic like not even the first step More complex apparel could have been taught How to identify the fabric should be taught one on one not via zoom meeting Professors prepareed ppts and in class only read that it was monotonous not even a word extra from pptthen they expect great results in are assignments

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our design school offers an excellent curriculum which covers all the modules even if they are slightly less important , they cover it all in our semester. The open jury system also helps us interact with jury members in our batchmates jury time .

IIFD - Best College for Designing courses

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did my 10+2 in Commerce and my interest was in designing that's why I choose this course. The faculty members at IIFD possess strong academic backgrounds and hold degrees in their respective fields. The faculty members were very helpful during the course.

Is pec Chandigarh worth it

I applied for Maulana Azad institute of technology Bhopal but I didn't get branch higher than mechanical for my rank so I considered this college this college has great placement records and good legacy so this was a safe option for me and the location of this colleges just perfect for me I was also spectacle about getting admission into NIT Jaipur under chemical branch but I wanted circuital branch and the electrical branch of this college is better than most of the college in the same league so I choose this college for this particular reason I got rejected in maulana Azad institute of technology for my low rank I wanted at least a circle branch so I didn't get admission there basically you give exam JEE mains to be specific and then you get your rank and just a basic process you enroll in juice accounts in counselling you get this college there are other course like be designing so you have to give respective exam for that course...Read More
