Likes

The faculty of chitkara design school is really supportive and for every module we get different experienced designers
There are various clubs in chitkara for dance music art sports
We have 3 cafeterias square 1 square 2 and circle 1 to hangout and eat

Dislikes

Even the dayscholars need gatepass stamped by Dean to get out of the college for some time
Dayscholars don't get to attend dj nights and events at all
There are strict uniform rules. We can only wear black or blue basic jeans

Course Curriculum Overview

Our design school offers an excellent curriculum which covers all the modules even if they are slightly less important , they cover it all in our semester. The open jury system also helps us interact with jury members in our batchmates jury time .

Class Size: 180Course Fees: INR 1080000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no scholarship,not one that I'm aware of . We have 90000 fees per semester and 39000 for my chitkara bus travel ( i travel from ambala city to chitkara rajpura ). Bus fees is fare , it's never a problem

Campus Life

There are various clubs operated by students only . Regular events are held in the campus . Students put stalls in the alpha zone ground . We interact with other departments too. Books are easily issued from the library and there is a large variety of them . We have two projectors in our classroom .

Admission

For admission I just filled the form and a short interview was taken after that I got the admission letter . There was no enteranve exam and there was no problem in available of seat in my course ( bachelor's of design ux ui )

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is good we get 4-5 faculty members for each module for about 180 students. They are well qualified and really nice. We get enough time to interact with the teachers everyday. We often connect with them over WhatsApp and social media after college hours.

An Average Chitkara Life

Placement Experience:

From my knowledge I guess from 2nd semester the students are eligible for placements and there are multiple companies visited and made offers as well even in Chitkara on daily basis companies comes such as Aditya birla group and wipro and many more umm 825000 is highest in my knowledge and percentage of students getting placement would be 100 out of 60 most probably and plans after getting degree is to study further and doing masters from abroad

Placement Experience:

Placements are good from the university. It has good connections which help the student to take up job in their top dream firms. Internships too are provided so as to probide the students with a good experience

Course Curriculum Overview:

We have good curriculum based on Bdes curriculum of IITs, DTU and IIIT but it could have been better if they would have added some elective subjects. Their are elective subjects in third year only for students who don't get internships. As designs is new branch in our college I am sure it will improve over tym

Placement Experience:

From 4 year we are ready for placement but some people choose to do thesis and some choose internship . Many companies came to out college like live space n more. I guess the average will be 6-7lakh in starting . And 40% got placement from this college . If their is no campus placement we can go through linkedin and many more.

User experience course is very good. This course have high scope in abroad. You can start freelancing with this course.course is difficult but if you do with full mindset you can do anything. But others collages are good for this course

From my personal experience I believe the course was really basic like not even the first step More complex apparel could have been taught How to identify the fabric should be taught one on one not via zoom meeting Professors prepareed ppts and in class only read that it was monotonous not even a word extra from pptthen they expect great results in are assignments

IIFD - Best College for Designing courses

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did my 10+2 in Commerce and my interest was in designing that's why I choose this course. The faculty members at IIFD possess strong academic backgrounds and hold degrees in their respective fields. The faculty members were very helpful during the course.

It is good for the education they provide good theoretical knowledge and practical knowledge also. The faculty also so good and supportive they are also qualified, masters. They all are soo knowledgeable. The student-faculty ratio is 10:1.

Honest insider review - Chitkara University, Punjab

There was no such entrance exam sort of thing. they were just expecting a minimum percentage in the boards examination that too was very low to be honest. i didnt found such difficulty for the admission process as i had scored good marks in the 12th board. The application form was available on the official website of the university. The fees has been increased the last time i toook admission. It took 162,000 for 1 yr of college fees. No reservation benifits were availed by me being a GENERAL. Overall, the admission process was easy i found no diificulty. Although, they can improve the communication hrough the intermediater who accepted my form and took me thorugh the admission process. as it was online, i found some difficulty in communicating with themaslso havinng some misunderstandings with them.....Read More
