- Diverse culture: People from different states are here that provide a diverse culture for civilans.
- Faculty behavior: Faculty behavior and interaction is very friendly and nice . Many expert Faculty are available here.
- Beautiful scenery Beautiful scenery in campus itself is seen it is one of the most beautiful nit.
Dislikes
- Less availability of pure non veg food. As many non vegetarian people are here in srinagar vegetarian people find a problem in finding pure veg restaurants.
- Mess food Mess food is not that good to be appreciated. Moreover i feel the charges are much higher than quality.
- Srrict timings to be followed in campus. Girls timings are strictly followed without any failure.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is related to basic engineering. Exams are just based on the topic taught in class. If u have paid attention in class and completed notes then u can easily cope up with mid and end term exams.
Internships Opportunities
I do not have much knowledge about internship. But yes college do provide internship. It can be of good experience as nit srinagar have collaboration with iit delhi, iit hyderabad and nit also.But placements is offered nicely by well known companies
Placement Experience
Yes placements is offered from college both private and government companies come for placements. Placements for cse and it is easy if they have skills so they can crack a god placements. And it is a bit difficult placements wise for lower branches. Highest package was 43 lakh and lowest was 8 lakh in cse branch
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for per semester is 73000 is the income is above 5 lakh 2/3 percent fees is waiver for income between 1-5 lakh And no tution fees for income below 1 lakh Scholarship both private and government is available both on merit and caste based.
Campus Life
Overall the campus life is fun . Surrounded with mountain . It is a new experience for many students. Many clubs and sports competition are regularly going in the college. Also a library full of main course book is availabile.
Hostel Facilities
Yes hostel facility is available for hostelers. The fees is 8000 per semester. The hostel can vary living with 8,6,4,2 people depending upon ur semester. Mess food is okish.Mess offers 4 meals per day. Washroom are cleaned everyday. And overall the hygiene and cleanliness is maintained
Admission
I was getting cse branch in this college. Moreover it is nit established from 1960 being one of the oldest nit with a heavenly scenery. Admission is through jee entrance exam. It is much better than other private college
Faculty
Faculty are eduacted and experienced in our college. The course structure vary from subject to subject. And there are 2 exams mid term and end term. And assignments do carry a significant marking And some marks are also based on attendance.
