Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course curriculam is very advanced, and it is as par with the top not world universities, There are two courses which are offered which are computer science and Engineering and Electronics and comunucation and engineeering. Both the courses are designed in a way that are target to make a good enginner from very start and a good thinker and a problem solver. We have the liverage to choose the electives which are based on our interests, through which we can explore other domains . Exams happens twice a seamester, which are like mid terms and end terms, so overall i would say there are around 4 major exams in an year, and apart from that there are quizzes and all which happen at the regular intervals throughout the semeaster, so that students learn the concepts clearly. apart from that we have regular asssignemnts, which are based on conceptual stuffs, and ther is strict plagarism checking, so each one of us have to do the assignment by our own by learning the concepts thoroughly.

Placement Experience

5

Placements are just superb, the percentagae is almost 100 for btech students, and too many comapanies visit the college, because of the location of bangalore, All kinds of companies visit the campus covering the various domains. which are ai/ ml, sde, embedded, vlsi, consulting etc . there are around of 80 90 companies which visit the campus each year and the numeber of offers exceed the number of students most of the time. my plans is to be in IT Sector then after some time go for some foriegn university phd.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee varies year wise, first and second year - 1.6 lakhs per seamester third and fourth year - 1.92 lakhs per seamester fifth year - 2.3 lakhs per seamester Hostel Charge - 38k per seamester Mess charge - 28k per seamester There are various scholarships such as Utkarsha Scheme , which provides tution fee reimbursment for top jee rankrer Then there are cgpa based scholarships, those who score more than 9 cgpa ovrerall are awarded with 50k scholarship for that year.

Campus Life

3

overall the campus life is growing, there are lot of clubs which are getting enriched. there is a library where everyone can read and issue their books which are almost open 18 hours a day there are high tech labs for ece students and cse students which are open to all, all types of labs are there robotics, vlsi etc. sports take a backseat , since academics are given more importance, although people play badmiton , TT and all. There are lot of groups which impact the student positively such as aikyan , turiya club etc, which takes care of mental health of the stuents, there are other facilties as well such as your dost, which is to monitor and provide the solution to the mental problems of students and it is completely free for all the studnets in the campus.

Hostel Facilities

5

Mess food is very good in most of the days, we get 3 days non veg menu Room has wifi which speed over 100 mbps all the time, and everything is good, rooms are very spacious . Here taking hostel of the campus is mandatory so there is no choice of taking the pg outside the campus.

Admission

The main motivation of choosing this college was the location and the faculty profiles , I saw the coding culture of the other colleges and iiit banglore and I find it too good relative to other ones, people from the first year itself have started codeforces, codechef and other coding platoforms for problem solving, many of them have qualified gsoc as well in the 2nd and 3rd years .

Faculty

5

The faculuty are abudant in number so that we can have one to one interaction and they are very helpful as well, we can show our interest and they are always ready to clear out doubts. Although all the faculties are very good ,but if I have to name some of them then I would consider naming Dinesh sir, Ashish sir, Nandita mam, Uttam sir, Thangraju sir, Amit sir . I do not dislike anyone as such, all are at par in terms of academics Exams are of good level ,it's not like you can study everything just before night and excel, you can surely pass but to excel you have to grasp the topics, since the qeustions are based on thinking rather than rot learning, which further motivates us to study.

Placement Experience:

lacements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology Placements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology are decent overall, with stronger outcomes for CS-related branches and moderate but reliable opportunities for core branches like Chemical Engineering. ???? Placement Eligibility Students generally become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester (final year). Some companies also allow pre-placement offers (PPOs) through internships after the 6th semester. ???? Companies Visiting the Campus ???? Common Recruiters (Across Branches) TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini IBM L&T Deloitte (limited roles) ???? Core / Chemical-Related Opportunities L&T Reliance (limited roles) Schneider Electric Saint-Gobain Some manufacturing, quality, and operations-based companies Core chemical companies visit in limited numbers, so many Chemical Engineering students also sit for IT, analytics, and operations roles. ???? Packages Offered (Approximate) ???? Salary Range Highest Package (overall): ~?40–50 LPA (off-campus / international offer, mostly CS) Highest for Core / Chemical roles: ~?8–10 LPA Average Package (overall): ?7–8 LPA Average for Chemical Engineering: ?4–6 LPA ???? Job Profiles Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) Process / Quality Engineer Analyst / Consultant Software Engineer (for interested students) ???? Placement Percentage Overall placement rate: ~90–95% Chemical Engineering: ~60–70% Students with good CGPA, internships, and skills tend to get placed earlier and in better roles. ???? Employability & Skill Development The college provides: Placement training sessions Aptitude and soft-skill workshops Coding and interview preparation support However, students are expected to upskill on their own, especially for core industry roles or higher-paying profiles. ???? My Plans After Completing the Degree After completing my B.E. in Chemical Engineering, I plan to: Gain industry experience through campus placement or off-campus opportunities

The highest on campus package this year was around 64 LPA, while as far as I know, the top 20% of the students usually get offers in the 16-24LPA range. KSIT has an average placement rate of 70%-85% depending on the branch . CSE,ISE and ECE branches have higher placements while mechanical and civil have fewer opportunities in IT sector . Average package is about 4-6LPA . KSIT attracts many IT based recruitiers with some core companies for non -IT branches . It also provides pre-placement training, coding boot cams, aptitude tests and soft skills development . Alumni network is moderate, but students need off-campus efforts for high paying jobs
