Course Curriculum Overview
The main subjects of my course that is bcom hons is fine which includes business law financial accounting management and one general elective that is microeco of mine. But the subjects of VAC SEC AEC is i feel waste of time. I think these should not be included in the curriculum because on ground relality it doesnt add much value to us. If i give an example like i have chosen vedic maths as my SEC , but in that basic addition multiplication etc is been thought. This everyone had studied in their school which is so basic that the ones who have not studied would also know. So its more of a waste of time as we have to attend the classes just because of thw attendance. The class test was conducted of 24 marks which included 3 questions of 12 marks each and you have to attempt any 2 Timing was of 1 hr
Fees and Financial Aid
For sri ram college of commerce every student fees is around 33000. There were no fees concessions for caste quotas. But for quota like pwd etc have less fees (im not sure about that) I have paid 33000 for my first year. Srcc has the highest fee structure in delhi university because they have centralised ac in their college
Campus Life
Srcc's annual fest is called crossroads. It happens mainly during march. It is the only proper fest that happens at srcc. But societies do organise the individual fests time to time. Like recently in sept tedx conducted its fest. There is projector in our classrooms moreover centralised ac's are there so that is a plus point. The sports facilities are very good at srcc. A whole proper INDOOR BASKETBALL COURT is present it also includes badminton court. A proper green field is there where different teams practice there sports. Either the practice is in the morning 7oclock or after 2pm. There is gym also different for girls and boys. It had a swimming pool too but now its closed. There are 60+ societies / clubs which help the student to learn and develop themselves in the area of their interest
Admission
I applied to only the colleges of delhi university. I also applied for banasthali college in Rajasthan as my backup. But my main goal was Delhi university. Delhi university includes all the best colleges of india and being a government everyone opt for it. Srcc has the highest cuttoff and is known for its best placements and is the best college of asia for commerce hence i choose this above every college. No i didnt get any rejection from any college because one first preference was only sri ram college of commerce and i got into it. For getting into srcc delhi university i had to give exam called cuet ug. As i wanted to do bcom hons i had to give my exams for 4 subjects 1- Accounts/applied maths/ core maths ( any one ) 2- business studies 3- English 4- Economics ( or any other subject which you have learnt in 11th 12th eg physical education etc) The first cuttoff score was 782 and it drops a bit as the rounds proceeds. The overall exam giving of cuet was tiring as there was no proper management done during exams. The exam marks were also so delayed so it was quite tiring waiting for the results
Faculty
There are a lot of faculties in the college. And majorly all the teachers/ proffessors are well experienced or actually have passed out from srcc only. Except for my Financial accounting teacher all my teachers are very approachable and ready to guide me. The financial accounting teacher is a bit strict but thats fine. According to me renu maam of management and smita maam of business law are very sweet and i like them. They teach us very nicely and I understand what she teaches. Rk shah sir is the one of financial accounting which is a bit less approachable because he is very strict and sometimes i don't understand what he teaches. We do not have mid semesters we have only the final exams in January tentatively or end december. There are some class tests in between which are for our internal marks. Majorly all the students pass their exams.
