Entrance Preview

I took CET. My rank was good and it was next to my home and everything in the college is perfect. Friends and teachers recommended.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course BCA is very helpful have learnt many programming languages. The college even taught languages which are not in syllabus. College even gave extra classes.

Internships Opportunities

Stipend for my department was maximum 20000 rs and minimum was 12000 and then it increase gradually. It depends on the student. We didnt face any interview till now.

Placement Experience

It is good for the region but not the best. lots of companies come for recruitment. like TCS,WIPRO and many more.

College Events

All festivals are celebrated more or less diwali,biswakarma puja,Holi.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Per semester fees are 34000. And for the first semester including admisson fees is 50k. And for registration persemester 1000 rs extra.

Campus Life

Campus is fun. Tea garden is surrounded in all ways. There are 2 canteen gym. Club house.

Alumni/Alumna

No ragging campus. And it is strictly maintained.

Exam Structure

Exams are not very frequent. Per semester there is one lab exam and one semester exam. And 2 internal exam.

Faculty

They are just the best. Friendly yet strict. Always helpful in clearing doubts. Before semester extra classes are conducted. Extra classes were also given for backlog students.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus in the last i,e 8th semester before that their not eligible for campus placement Conpanies like Tcs , Capgemini, tech mahindra, accenture etc visites the college for BCA placements The average offers ranges from 4-6 lakhs per annum the highest was around 12lakhs The highest was 12 lakhs per annum from Accenture and lowest was 3 lakhs per annum by tcs The student percentage is around 80 percent of then get placed while some also pursue higher studies My plan is to pursue Mtech from abroad and then eventually get placed at a nice company

The great experience at BIMS

Placement Experience:

After completing 2nd semester the students are eligible for campus placement. Tcs wipro has visited our college. They also arranged job fail in their campus. Around 50 to 60 percent stdents got placed. I should prefer to have higher study after completing BCA.

The placements are really nice. Every year, a large amount of students are employed by Tech Mahindra, CTS, TCS, Wipro, etc. all software giants. The starting salaries are also decent. Most students get placed, but 100% placement has also been achieved by the college now.

Siliguri Institute of Technology: A Journey of Learning and Opportunities

I got TFW quota in this college from WBJEE Counselling, so for this the total fees for me is 1/8th of the fees paid by other, who take admission through Direct or with WBJEE Counselling itself. So return of investment is very good for me. And another reason is Place. You're in north side, from where Darjeeling (The Queen of Hills) is about 60-70 km.
