The administrative work is quite slow

The administration is can be more open to modern thoughts and practices. The administrative work is quite slow. Otherwise the college is one of the best after IITs. It has a very green campus surrounded by river on 3 sides, a huge auditorium and many more things to explore.

Course curriculum of Computer Science is such that at the end of the 4 years of undergraduation you will know how a computer works. It is in accordance with the GATE syllabus. There are 8 semesters. Each semester consists of mid-semester(25 marks) and end-semester. (60 marks) along with internals(15 marks) and lab performances, vivas, quizzes, surprise tests.

Very good for computer science branch. 100% placement. Companies like Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Walmart Labs, Salesforce, Microland etc. also come for internships with an average stipend around 60k inr.

There is Pantheon the annual tech fest held in the odd semester in the month of October. Then there is Bitotsav the annual cultural fests held in the month of February. Other than this alot of others fests and events and workshops on wide range of topics are held by the various clubs and societies in the campus.

The fee structure is a bit expensive as compared to the other colleges like NIT as this is a government granted college (GFTI) but autonomous on other terms. Scholarships are available for students in need based on their annual GPA.

The college has a GP Birla Scholarship for students who are financially weak. This scholarship is given on the basis of GPA on the previous semester. Fir first semester it is on the basis of JEE rank. Other details can be found on the website.

The college has a big sports facility. It has a newly built gym in the sports complex as well as in both girls hostels. Apart from that every hostel has table tennis, volleyball, badminton, carrot facilities. Two annual sports meets are also there.

The hostels are a bit old. There are 13 hostels in total with 2 girls hostel and remaining boys hostel. Each hostel has about 300 rooms. For first year boys and girls of all years, the hostel room are twin occupancy. For others each student gets a single room. Other facilities are average.

Seniors are very helpful. A lot of them excel in many activities and are always there for guidance. The alumni network known as the BITOSA is also very strong with alumni in almost every field of engineering spread all across the globe

I would overall rate them as average for computer science department. Some of the teachers are well versed on their subjects but most of them are not. Some teachers are cooperative, understanding and very helpful too.
