Course Curriculum Overview

A lot of course work is probably hectic that is in curriculum of SKUAST kashmir. Practical information and work is very limited in this institution leaving the students frustrated with hectic schedules of course work

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 20900 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I am enrolled in open merit category and Sum of 20900 rupees paid in every year in account of tution fee and 5700 rupees for hostel accommodation per semester! Some of my batchmates pay 37000 rupees those are enrolled on self finance and for undergraduate students no scholarships are provided by university.

Campus Life

The university is involved in cultural and sports fests throughout the year which include IRTIQA for 15 days to welcome incoming students and lasts for 15 days. Vice chancellors sports fest commences in during summer months for a week

Hostel Facilities

Hostel accommodation is good but overcrowded sometimes! Room is shared between 2 or 3 individuals with fan, bed and flooring. Almiras are also available in the room. Electricity and wifi is available 24*7

Hostel Fee: INR 5750 per year

Admission

This was my 2nd choice since i am from the locality and i was really interested in natural farming and horticulture all though i got other colleges to get admission but for beautiful campus and locality

Faculty

Faculty members are very much arogant and egoistic in sher e kashmir university of agricultural sciences and technology Srinagar except few! Some of the members are here for just sharing slides with you!

SKUAST-K from the view of its student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Agriculture subject is practical oriented and you will enjoy visiting agriculture fields and that was the sole reason i choose this field. The curriculum is well designed and you will not feel any problem while helping farmers in real world.. Improvement needed in practical work i.e more practical work should be done.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Agriculture is practical oriented course that's why i chose it and it takes me to my roots as my father is also farmer. Practical knowledge of this course prepares me for real world. Course curriculum must be practical along with book knowledge and teaching should be interactive. In 6 month semester we give two times exam and exams are easy.

agriculture University with high potential for a great future

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course was the very best chance i had to get in a government college which ahd the best chance to get a decent job as this sector had good carrer opportunities curriculum was a little outdated as it gave a lot of insight on real word application theoretically but lacked practical application more practical and lab work could help curriculum and encouraging the faculty to teach with more interest the exams happen twice every semester also practical exam takes place as well the level of difficulty of exam was decent, didn't require much studying to pass and could easily score good grade if u are regular in class and study the night before exams

For Jammu and Kashmir students there is UET UG exam and for other states students they will get admission through ICAR councelling after giving CUET exam. I didn't applied for any other college my first and last choice was this college and i got it. For admission in this college : If you are residing in J&K you have to give UET Ug exam which is conducted by SKUAST-K and after that you will get admission on merit base. If you are not residing in J&K then you can come through ICAR counselling after clearing CUET Ug exam. Cut off is high so prepare well....Read More

I only applied to this college due to its good NIRF ranking and also heard of the better environment here. I gave NEET exam but not able to crack that. To enter here you have to give SKUAST- K UET exam if you are from J&K and if you are from other states then you can take admission via ICAR councelling based on CUET exam. Most students came through SKUAST K UET and remaining through ICAR councelling. SKUAST K UET cut off vary from category to Category out of 135 UR- 80-90 ST - 60- 70 SC 50-60 OBC - 60-70 ALC - 65-75 Admission process is easy and smooth and also done offline at SKUAST K Shalimar campus...Read More
