The view and environment are really good for study along with faculty
Teachers and professors are highly knowledgeable
Staff and other members of the faculty are very understanding and polite

Dislikes

Its far from home so travelling is little bit hectic
Hostel is there but you have to be use to it otherwise you will only miss you family

Course Curriculum Overview

As we know the agriculture is the backbone of the country so i selected this course seeing the wide scope of this couse Only if there are more practical based systems are there then it will pe a huge improvement Otherwise the exams are bsed on theoretical plus practical bsed so it gives a wide spectrum of education

Class Size: 43Course Fees: INR 110000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There is no internship currently for bsc hons students but may be in the msc or phd there might be internship program but iam not currently known about it.. otherwise the faculty is very nice and scope hi also good

Fees and Financial Aid

Other states seasts fees is 11000 per year ICAR seats fees are 35000 per year Scholarship are given to students based on merits and icar cleared students also. Hostel fees and other library fees including are cost around 10000

Campus Life

It a really good experience from day to day interaction with new peoples,juniors , seniors and professors alongside the beauty of the nature I really enjoy my college life and i wish it will last forever

Hostel Facilities

Currently three students are live together in one room with beds are the provided study tables are there fan and cabinate is also provided in the room Water facility in there also .. wifi faculty is also provided by the college

Hostel Fee: INR 6000 per year

Admission

I applied in delhi university and got selected but i choose this college over that due to the course preference and wide spectrum of the field I love to explore this field so this is the best course i can think about that time for my future

Faculty

The faculty is really cooperative to students.. they understand our demands and need and help us in every possible way. Exam are conducted in four terms per year included 2 semester per 6 month including mid term exam and end term exam Mid term exam includes 30 written+ 20 practical

Campus placements are happening very rarely Recently reliance bio energy Pvt Ltd, LIC,hdfc bank did placements drives in the university About 20 percent students get placed every year My plans after completing the degree is to persuive msc from the same university

This course is good but it has many subjects each semester we studies 10 subjects which are very difficult to gain knowledge so the subjects should be less and teachers always give ppt to students they make them and studied them on blackboard and exam duration they should provide a holiday

Golden days of life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is actually preparing us how to become profitable in all the situations like during adverse weather conditions ,insect pest and diseases infestation,how to cope up with all the situations that can leads to decrease our yield.i personally choose this course to know the things that are happening in our daily life like knowing the reason of increase or decrease of income in agricultural fields ,use of pesticides, insecticides ,their quantity and specificity so that become less toxic to consume. The exams are quite easy but due to presence of alot of subjects no holiday is available during exams except Saturday and sunday

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was always eager to study about plants and nature and when I studied about the SKUAST jammu i immediately appeared for the CET exam and scored the qualifying number for admission and chose the degree program of bsc hons horticulture and took the next step in my life to connect with plant world. This degree provides knowledge about agriculture, horticulture, floriculture, agrometrology and many more environmental and food related industries . This degree generates employment in various food sector like food processing industries , fruit cultivation , flower cultivation. And in my last year i have took the beekeeping as optional subjects which teaches about bee rearing and honey production. The difficulty level is moderate which a student if studies regularly can pass. The university should improve is education policy by including more practical work rather than theoretical work .

agriculture University with high potential for a great future

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course was the very best chance i had to get in a government college which ahd the best chance to get a decent job as this sector had good carrer opportunities curriculum was a little outdated as it gave a lot of insight on real word application theoretically but lacked practical application more practical and lab work could help curriculum and encouraging the faculty to teach with more interest the exams happen twice every semester also practical exam takes place as well the level of difficulty of exam was decent, didn't require much studying to pass and could easily score good grade if u are regular in class and study the night before exams

Real review of faculty of forestry SKUAST-K

I applied to Bsc Agriculture and Bsc horticulture ...but was selected to Bsc Forestry. I thought of going for deep understanding of plants whilst living inside of forest and that's what this faculty gives you. The best thing about this college is that all vegetation you see here is man made and this barren land is being converted to lush green forest area.
