What Students Say
Likes
- I like the location of the college. It is near Adoor, a main town in Kerala.
- Campus life days were golden in my days. Really wonderful experience.
- The faculty's experience is also commendable
Dislikes
- Towards the final year, a lot of changes were brought which were unacceptable to the earlier continuing students.
- Partiality to students by the faculty is very much a distinguished and observable element.
- The dean of students did not exhibit a good appreciable conduct.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is a complex and vast one, with multiple areas in focus, which itself is a merit as it serves its purpose in training a Christian minister for all the challenges. The course is more praxis than a confined theoretical classroom. Certain improvements in teaching methods can be brought up. Teachers must ensure the students' study and find some way to monitor it. Otherwise students tend to get stuck in the wide array of topics to study and somehow just find it difficult.
Internships Opportunities
I was given an opportunity to work at a nearby church by the college. It was a pentecostal church in the town of Kayamkulam in Kerala. Outreach programs and meetings were held in the year the opportunity was provided.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fees when I had joined was ?43,000, along with a registration fees of 10,000. By the time I had reached the final year, it had increased to 50,000 per year, apart from the registration of ?10,000. The caution fees is ?2000 out of which ?1500 was returned after some jostle. The fee mention is after scholarship which including various duties.
Campus Life
We have programs on special days like August 15, October 2 and January 26. Apart from outreach programs we also have a Mission Week once in two years, which is equivalent to an arts festival but with mission as emphasis. In my final year, an end was put to the mission week. Sports day is also conducted once in a year.
Admission
I chose this college mainly because it was close to my home and i could go whenever i wanted to. I didn't apply in any other colleges. The admission process begins with an entrance exam and an interview with the president. The student to be enrolled is expected to complete grade 12.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio would approximately be 1:6. The faculty student relationship is okay. Not all the facilities seem comfortable to approach. One of the faculties I really liked was Rev. Samuel Matthew. He was really understanding and a scholar in his field. There are 10 exams overall, one at the end of each semester, prior to which a fee of approximately ?2000 would be redacted.
