Likes
- Night life: One of the best college experience is the night life. Pulling all noghters for exam and having coffee at 4 am in the mornings.
- No curfews: You get to go out (out of the college and yes even at night) whenever you want to no questions asked.
- Night canteen: canteen is open till 4 am in the morning.
Dislikes
- No proximity to the city: Hyderabad city is a out 40km
- No structured academics. Professors do whatever they want to do.
- Less fests. The fests are not that too crazy. But they are still better than most colleges in the country.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is pretty good but unstructured. Sometimes the students are perplexed by the grading. The curriculum is pretty relevant though. All the vourses are connected to each other and all of them together help you to pursue sonething else. The curriculum can be improved by providing it a structure i.e. what courses should be taught when and how.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fee:100000/sem Lab fee:20000/sem Hostel and mess:40000/sem For reserved candidates the tuition fee is exemted. More over full scholarship is provided for economically weak sections. Few students are provided with scholarships for doing well in their respective course.
Campus Life
There are .ore than 40 clubs in the campus. The fests are organised by students so you r gonnna get a lot of opportunity to socialize. Moreover their is inter hostel competition where students go crazy and build a bond.
Admission
Basically the whole reason pf going to IIT is its brand value. It's obviously better tahn any other college in India which is not an IIT. Over that i couldn't get IIT Delhi which i wanted due to my rank. So yeah study well and get a good rank.
Faculty
Faculty memebers are highly qualified. They are quite approachable. You just need to write a mail to set a meeting. There are many professors that i like but none are to be hated. IIT Hyderabad provides pretty good quality of education.
