Course Curriculum Overview
Our course is like to good as this is Mumbai University's syllabus. Once can doubt any university for that matter but not Mumbai, isn't it. The college though keeps on adding few things which we know it won't even come in exams but the faculties care a less. They will teach us in and out and at the same time will reach us about work and play balance. So, academics here are a proper work and balance.
Placement Experience
It looks like the college does late in giving us the chance because we are ready from 1st semester itself. We don't have a choice but to wait until we are into our final leg. Top companies like Schneider electric is our branch's favourite. At next, it's Siemes which also hired a majority of student. 10 lakhs and rather more is what students of our branch are paid for their services.
Fees and Financial Aid
The best part of VJTI is that it's government runned institute. Hence, the fees can be called peanuts as 85000 including everything is what we have to pay every year and that too semester wise. SC/ST students obviously have to pay nearly half as they get their scholarships. But it's not that only they get scholarships as merit holder students be it from any category get massive scholarships irrespective of anything.
Campus Life
Sports and VJTI goes hand in hand. You can play any sport of ur choice here and we get concession in attandande too if we represent our college. From football to cricket we have A-One facilities. In terms of fests there are plenty but nothing like Pratibimb as from quizzes to dramas everything unfolds in that fest.
Admission
I was a merit holder in CET, so why would I apply anywhere else. It's my hometown Thane and this college is just a few stations away from my place. So VJTI was always on my mind and a targetted college too. Admission here is as simple as anything, you appear in merit and you get VJTI as there are no negotiations or money that can confirm ur admissions here.
Faculty
Why is this part at the beginning as this is the only thing about the college which is not 6 on 10. The faculties who are teaching here since ages are arguably the best but the ones who are hired as assistant or contracted period are indeed not so good. I was wondering that some of them had experience of teaching at the IITs too. So a little bit of grey area but manageable.
