Overall its a decent college

This is a really great college if you want to study and have to enter in a private college of Kolkata. The placements depend on the people as well. The top seventy percent will surely get a decent company and the rest will also be given a chance to prove themselves in Bangalore.

Ours is the newest course curriculum as instructed by AICTE. Plus the college is autonomous so it has the right to change the syllabus of about 20%. But they don't change the syllabus, they add to the recommended syllabus. The exams are there two times a year with regular class tests, majors, minors, assignments, slot exams, internals in between them.

I am not in 4th year so I may not be accurate but I have heard and gathered information from others that the placements here are not satisfactory (not more than 70% that too for CSE and IT). But they give a chance to a few to go to Bangalore and get employed at the expense of college.

There are two fests - TECH FEST called KRITANJ and CULTURAL FEST called NAVODAYA. The tech fest is great, its the largest techno-management fest in Kolkata. As for cultural fest, as I have not witnessed one, I can't tell but the cultural fest as I have heard is grander than tech fest.

The normal fee structure of an engineering college starts from 3.5 lacs to 6 lacs. Our college takes 4lacs 8 thousand from us , out of which 85,200 should be deposited in the beginning and the rest after each semester.

I have not taken any loan or scholarship nor have I heard about it, so I don't know. I am in the first year but I have heard people taking loans from the bank to pay colleges but not of taking loans directly from the college

On a rating from 1 to 10, I will give them 0. My school labs were better equipped than here. The labs are small but are adequately equipped, no less but surely no more than required. If I don't talk about sports that would be good because sports are an extinct phenomenon here.

They are very helpful. The more advice you take from seniors/ alumni, the more benefit you are. They help us in almost everything from studies to robot making to our daily life problems. It's a NO-RAGGING college so no one will even think of it.

The faculty of our college can be rendered good except a few of course. In general, they are the friendliest professors ever. They help us, join us, teach us to guide us and scold us when necessary. They even tell us which courseware to follow and even tell us to mark them as our mentors.
