Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum of the course is mainly same of other colleges, you can find video lectures on youtube regarding your subject(mostly everyone do this here). The courses should be updated according to the market trends and demands. The exam levels are fine, if you have studied the PYQs and suggestions by teachers You can easily score well.

Placement Experience

3

From 6th semester, the students are almost eligible for placements in our college. Our college's placement cell is active, it invites decent companies like TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, CAPEGEMINI, ACCENTURE, JUSPAY, COGNIZANT, ASSESSLI, PRISMA, LTI MINDTREE, EY, TECH MAHINDRA etc. and they recruit good amount of students. Last year ACCENTURE was the mass recruiter at our college along with other companies . The average package offered to the students was 5-6 LPA while the highest was 27 LPA on campus in 2024. Companies like microsoft offered an Internship to some of the students with 1 LPM offcampus. Amazon given a package of 47LPA to a student of our college offcampus.

Fees and Financial Aid

For 2023 CSE (AIML) total fees = Rs. 600325, For 1st Sem = Rs. 78300 which includes: Tuition fees = Rs. 44000 The total fees is increasing by Rs. 50000 (for my department) every year for new admissions. For ECE 2023 batch, Fees = Rs. 525000 For CSE Core 2023 batch, Fees = Rs. 600325 College doesn't provide its own scholarship but there are many state or central government Scholarships are available to students like SVMCM, OASIS, etc.

Campus Life

4

There are two main fests of our College KRITANJ (tech fest), and NAVODAYA (cultural fest), other than that we have a litrary fest also (NiT LiT) exclusively for our literary society/club. KRITANJ is usually held in the month of March april where there are various events a student can participate in coding events, robotics events NAVODAYA is also usually held in the month of April-May. NiT LiT helds in November usually and it includes events like Anchoring, JAM, Drama, Dance, Recitation, Debate etc. Talking about the Library, Students have usually not the access of the stack rooms where books are kept (idk why). But students can use common reading rooms to study on their own, If they want they can issue books for a time period. Clubs are there but only some of them are active like Literary club, Coding club, Photography club etc.

Admission

I have given a list of colleges in which I gave Narula Institute of Technology because I had done some research and found it to be decent according to my rank. I have applied to Jadavpur University, Calcutta University, Heritage Institute of Technology, and many more popular colleges but according to my rank i got this college. The admission to the college is mainly through WBJEE for B.tech courses (i also applied from that), JELET for lateral students, and under different quotas like TFW, SC, ST, (quotas are for WB students only). If you rank under 15k in wbjee, you can easily get CSE at Narula Institute of Technology.

Faculty

3

Faculty members are mostly fine and nice. But they have limited lectures defined so even if they are good they have to finish their subject in the limited time, resulting to a gap in many concepts. Some faculties are there who don't teach properly and they are mainly young ones. The approachability is good, you can easily approach the faculties regarding your doubts and something else. The end sem exams are conducted in the month of december-january and june-july for which you will have to pay Rs. 1200 for the form fill up (it is not included in your semester fees). The marking schemes are ok but if you are not satisfied with your marks, you can review it by paying Rs. 200 per paper.

Night Life

2

Main hangout places in our college is pond side, ground, Cafeteria, but it would be more better if the campus was more large. Already mentioned that Gym never operates and library have only reading rooms accesible for students. Night life is usually not here because the hostels are not in the campus, they are situated a bit far from college (Idk why). Dakshineshwar is comparatively near and the place to visit.

Other Applied Colleges

Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Companies that visits campus: TCS Accenture Cognizent Infosys Wipro Capgemini Deloite Byjus Tech Mahindra Placement Percentage-On average 80%-90% of students may secure jobs through campus placements. However this numbers could vary across different departments and specialization Highest and average package-The highest salary offered at Techno India University was 24 LPA and the average salary was 4-5 LPA. Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).
