Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum for the IT department has all necessary coding languages required for development of modern world applications and softwares including networking. The university updates the syllabus in 4 years. The university exams consists of topics that are most relevant for the latest technologies
Placement Experience
Placements start from seventh semester for all departments. Companies hire students especially from IT and EC departments. Core companies are rare and IT companies which are service based are the mass recruiters in our college.
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fees is under 15000 for two semesters which includes admission, tution fees, lab fees and other development fees. For students with scholarships, the fees are directly credited to the university and you don't have to pay it.
Campus Life
The campus life is very active in GECB. The union is very active and conducts various cultural and technical fests inside the college. There are a number of social clubs for students to choose from. The infrastructure is not very good as the college is managed by the government.
Admission
The admission process is through the Kerala entrance examination that happens once in a year. All students who completed their 12th with science as their core subject can write this exam. GECB is one of the top engineering colleges in Kerala in terms of academics.
Faculty
Faculties especially in IT department is very supportive and friendly. All teaching faculties are PhD graduates and have enough knowledge on the topics. There are university exams held in each semester. Also series exams are held internally by the college two times in a semester.
