Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum at BIT is quiet thorough and covers all the basics well. It is good at keeping up with what's happening in tech industry, especially for branches like computer scoence and electronics.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

For students admitted through KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) is around ?91,000, with an additional college fee of ?29,000, making the total fee approximately ?1.2 lakh per year?. For students admitted through COMEDK UGET, the fees are higher, starting at ?2.75 lakh per year, and management quota fees can range from ?2 lakh to ?9 lakh depending on the branch?.

Campus Life

My overall experience at BIT has been positive. Social environment is lively. Students from different parts of India and even some international students make for a culturally rich campus. BIT has wide variety of clubs that cater to different interests. Whether you are into tech, coding, robotics, theatre, or dance, there is something f9r everyone. Eventhough BIT has a small campus it has well stocked libraries and decent labs. However, the location in central bangalore makes it easy for accessing the city amenities.

Admission

BIT has a strong record in placements especially for ranches like computer science and electronics. Other colleges like RVCE and MSRIT may have slightly better placements but VIT is still a solid option if you couldn't clear higher cutoffs for those institutions. Moreover VIT has more affordable fee structure compared to other peivate institutions like MSRIT. BIT accepts students through Kcet, COMEDK and also through management quota. Cutoffs are moderately high for competitive branches, vut it is easier to get into compared to more competitive colleges like RVCE.

Faculty

Faculties are generally experienced and knowledgeable. There are many lecturers who have persued ph.D.s from reputed institutions. Course structure is designed according to visvesvaraya technological university (vtu),under which the college is affiliated. According to vtu college will conduct 2 to 3 IA tests (internal assessment) for 25 marks each subject and an end semester examination for 100 marks. The final sgpa will be calculated considering both IA marks and end semester examination marks.

Placements at NITK are quite good ,especially for core branches and IT-related roles,with many reputed companies visiting the campus.The college also provides good exposure and support,making students well prepared for jobs,higher studies, or competitive exams after graduation. From 7th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placement. Top companies that visited NITK: Microsoft,Google,Amazon,Adobe,Goldman sachs,Uber,Oracle,Morgan stanley,Samsung R and D ,TCS,Infosys,Dell,bajaj auto,Reliance etc. overall 190-220+ companies visited campus . Best Kept Secret

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum for this year is the updated one. Its 2025 Scheme for the students. The curriculum is well designed according to the needs of CSE students for real life coding. The curriculum contains all required and updated topics which students from CSE background require to develop excellent skills for jobs and startups. There should be only one internal exam instead of two. Because, two internal exams tend to keep them involved more into college exams leaving very less time to build their extra skills. Thus there should be only one internal exam so that students can build their extra skills.

MIT Manipal's Student Plaza is amazing!

Placement Experience:

MIT Manipal Placements starts at around 6th semester as atleast the training and all starts. So final interviews and all starts for us in the 7th semester and before entering 8th or the final semester most of the placements are already done. I still wants to pursue masters as our university has tie-ups with American universities and our course skills can be bettered with masters is what I feel.

MIT Manipal boast a night life worth spending!

Placement Experience:

Around 47 students in our course and in 2025 36 of them were placed and rest I don't think even applied as jobs were definitely available. Infosys, Polaris and others who are now world famous for building cyber security systems were at MIT Manipal to hire students.

BMS College of Engineering truth

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placement from 7th sem. A lot of companies visit the campus,around 300 companies visit and around 1200 offers are made. The big ones are oracle, natwest, ring central,visa. The highest package is around 35 lpa, the average is around 10 lpa. Around 65% students do get placed. My plans are to get a good job after this degree.

From the 7th semester, college starts to prepare you for campus placements the final year students are eligible for placements. Number of companies visited the campus named TCS, Jspiders/Qspisers and Kodnest. The highest package got in the placement is 9lpa and average package is 3.5lpa offered by the companies. 40% of students got placed. I applied to several college including R V college of engineering N.I.E college of engineering and Dayanand sagar college of engineering.I received confirmed admission offers from Dayanand college of engineering in the first KCET round but I chose my college that is BIT because of its excellent academic environment and placements opportunity.I applied to this college had a more student freindly atmosphere better industry connection more extra curiculum activities and no ragging in the campus.I did't get RV college because cutoff for my desereved branch was quite high and entrance exam score is below their requirements.The admission process for my college was quit straigth forward.Admission process based on KCET or COMED-k.The process was transparent and well managed.After document verification and fee payment I recevied my official admission order.Overall experience is smooth and hassle free....Read More
