Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum at BIT is quiet thorough and covers all the basics well. It is good at keeping up with what's happening in tech industry, especially for branches like computer scoence and electronics.
Fees and Financial Aid
For students admitted through KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) is around ?91,000, with an additional college fee of ?29,000, making the total fee approximately ?1.2 lakh per year?. For students admitted through COMEDK UGET, the fees are higher, starting at ?2.75 lakh per year, and management quota fees can range from ?2 lakh to ?9 lakh depending on the branch?.
Campus Life
My overall experience at BIT has been positive. Social environment is lively. Students from different parts of India and even some international students make for a culturally rich campus. BIT has wide variety of clubs that cater to different interests. Whether you are into tech, coding, robotics, theatre, or dance, there is something f9r everyone. Eventhough BIT has a small campus it has well stocked libraries and decent labs. However, the location in central bangalore makes it easy for accessing the city amenities.
Admission
BIT has a strong record in placements especially for ranches like computer science and electronics. Other colleges like RVCE and MSRIT may have slightly better placements but VIT is still a solid option if you couldn't clear higher cutoffs for those institutions. Moreover VIT has more affordable fee structure compared to other peivate institutions like MSRIT. BIT accepts students through Kcet, COMEDK and also through management quota. Cutoffs are moderately high for competitive branches, vut it is easier to get into compared to more competitive colleges like RVCE.
Faculty
Faculties are generally experienced and knowledgeable. There are many lecturers who have persued ph.D.s from reputed institutions. Course structure is designed according to visvesvaraya technological university (vtu),under which the college is affiliated. According to vtu college will conduct 2 to 3 IA tests (internal assessment) for 25 marks each subject and an end semester examination for 100 marks. The final sgpa will be calculated considering both IA marks and end semester examination marks.
