Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum in MBBS totally depends on the books referred by the respective student, MBBS is a vast course and the curriculum never really ends, it all comes down to the interest of the student and the curiosity that drives him/her

Internships Opportunities

4

MBBS requires a "one-year internship", after the student completes his/her final year of medicine, and our college offers this opportunity and pays a stipend of around 15k per month and it is mandatory for any and all students to complete the 365 days of internship.

Fees and Financial Aid

Adichunchanagiri college offers 3 categories of seat, government seat, private seat and management seat. The government seat cut-off was 540/720 in NEET 2022, and the fees for this was a around 1 lakh 90 thousand (for my batch). The private seat cut-off was 230/720 in NEET 2022, and the fees being 18 lakh 45 thousand, and lastly management seat has no minimum mark requirement in NEET, and the fees for this is around 35 to 40 lakh per year. Fees for 2024 batch has increased significantly and it is nearly 20+lakh for private and 40+lakh for management.

Campus Life

4

The college encourages students to participate and represent the university's name in various events, it may range from quizzes to sports such as football and cricket. It even has a football ground, cricket ground, basketball court, tennis court, table tennis, chess, etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel is pretty average, it offers a 3 sharing room, 2 sharing room and single rooms, and the prices vary respectively according to the type of accommodation chosen by the students, the mess food is average.

Admission

I chose this college for the calm and quite environment of the location of this college, this campus has a zen aura. It is perfectly isolated and far from the traffic of Bangalore. And MBBS being a 5.5 years course, it is important live in a good enviornment and relax the mind

Faculty

4

There're around 19 subjects in MBBS course and each subject is considered as an individual department. Each department easily has around 8 to 10 faculties, so the faculty to students ratio is well balanced. There's an unique mentor mentee program which allows for student to approach the faculty regarding any issue and can share is with hesitation or worries and faculty makes sure that the issue is taken into consideration and an action is brought about. The exam point of view, (keeping in mind that this college is a deemed college) has got an efficient way of conducting exams. In each year of MBBS course there are 3 INTERNAL ASSESSMENT which requires a minimum of 40 percent in each theory and practical and the aggregate of both theory and practical must be 100 to attain eligibility to appear for the final exam/University exam. The University exam is conducted by the college with the presence and supervision of an external body from a different college. The University exam is conducted.

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.
